SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A Marine killed in a motorcycle crash on I-15 Friday has been identified as 21-year-old Logan Parkhurst.The crash happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Miramar Way just after 6:30 a.m.According to the California Highway Patrol, Parkhurst hit the back of a Toyota while attempting to exit onto Miramar Way, causing him to be ejected. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Marine veteran has just set out on a grueling walk across the country. Gunnery Sergeant Roy Wesley Brady Jr. retired from the Marine Corps after 22 years of service. On Monday, he left San Diego for New Jersey.It is a journey that will take about half a year to complete, and it is not the first time he has made the intense trek.Check out the story I did with him. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A pregnant San Diego County woman found a shocking discovery in her baby’s ultrasound picture: what appears to be a photo of her late father kissing her unborn daughter. Shantel Carrillo, who’s five and a half months pregnant with her second child, had the medical exam Monday at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. She didn’t expect the photograph to go viral. “I didn’t see it; I just posted the original picture online,” said Carrillo. Friends quickly pointed out the ultrasound image resembled a picture of Carrillo’s father Charles, who died in 2016, holding Carrillo’s oldest daughter Myree. Carrillo showed the photo to her stepmother who “broke down, freaking out crying.” For Carrillo, the idea her late father would show love to her child fits his character. “My dad was obsessed with my daughter,” said Carrillo. She added her father was always loud but “he would melt” when he was around Myree. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A reward was offered Tuesday to find a woman suspected of opening several credit card accounts at stores in Lemon Grove and College Grove with a stolen identity.The crime spree started July 12, according to San Diego County Crime Stoppers. The woman successfully opened accounts at several stores but failed on other attempts.More than ,000 was charged before the accounts were closed.The victim contacted the San Diego Police Department upon learning the accounts were being opened. He or she did not know how the suspect gained access to private information.Investigators say the woman is African-American, blonde, and between 25 and 35 years old.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A non-profit and business owner came together to donate thousands of dollars to families in need during the pandemic Wednesday.Non-profit Black San Diego started up in September with the goal of bolstering Black-owned businesses and giving them tools to succeed.They have a Facebook page with 36,000 members.On December 19th, Porschia Wyatt posted asking for prayers for her family."Recently my husband was laid off from his job, he works for the Cheesecake Factory, so time’s been hard for me and my family," she said.She and her husband have a 15-year-old daughter, 7 and 8-year-old sons and a 20-month old daughter.Getting Christmas presents was going to be hard, and November 16th made it even more difficult."I had just ate pizza and next thing you know I started throwing up and I couldn’t breath or anything so I was rushed to the hospital," she said she had an abdominal blockage.She underwent three surgeries and came home on the 25th. Now she had huge medical bills to worry about, which was what pushed her to type a message to the BSD community.She got an overwhelming response, more than a hundred comments and a surprise at her doorstep Wednesday morning.Jaime Harris, owner of Big Block Realty, was holding a giant check for ,000."There are so many families that are affected you know?
