Actress Amanda Kloots took issue with President Donald Trump's call to Americans to not let COVID-19 "dominate" their lives on Monday — four months to the day after her husband died of COVID-19.Kloots' husband, Nick Cordero, died on July 5 after a months-long battle with COVID-19. Cordero was first diagnosed with the virus on March 30, and his brutal fight with the virus included weeks spent in a coma and the amputation of his right leg.On Monday, despite the fact that his doctors said that he isn't "out of the woods," Trump left the hospital with the blessing of his physicians to return to the White House."Feeling really good! Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life," Trump tweeted prior to his release from the hospital. "We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago."Kloots took issue with Trump's choice of words."It's beyond hurtful," she said in a since-expired story on Instagram. In a message to followers that lasted several minutes, Kloots said that those who contract COVID-19 and their loved ones aren't being "dominated" by the virus by choice."No one is letting it (dominate). Nick didn't let it. It isn't a choice. It dominated his life; it dominated my life; it dominated our family's lives for 95 days," Kloots said. "And because he didn't make it, it will forever affect my life. Even if he would have survived, it would have forever affected and changed our lives." 1503

Across the country, confederate statues and symbols are going down. Just this week, Mississippi voted to change its flag which featured the old confederate flag. On Wednesday night, a statue of Stonewall Jackson was taken down in Richmond, VA. NO CHANGES INSIDE CAPITOLWhile changes are no doubt underway around the country, the 11 statues representing Confederate soldiers and officials are on display as part of the National Statuary Hall collection in the United States Capitol. "They committed treason against the United States," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a recent press conference. Pelosi wrote a letter asking for the Confederate men to be removed, however she doesn't have the power to do so unilaterally. Senator Mitch McConnell has said he won't pass a new law to change that"What I do think is clearly a bridge too far - this nonsense that we need to airbrush the Capitol, I mean eight former presidents owned slaves," McConnell told reporters recently. STATUES IN CONGRESS ARE CONTROLLED BY STATESCurrently, each state gets to send two statues to display inside the United States Capitol. Often times, the state legislature decides which statue is represented, which can get political The full list is available here, however these are the 11 confederate men represented in the collection: Jefferson Davis, President of Confederate States of America, Mississippi James Zachariah George, Reconstruction leader and white supremacist, Mississippi Wade Hampton, One of the largest slaveholders in the Southeast, South Carolina John E. After a slew of women came forward to accuse producer Harvey Weinstein and other notable figures in media of sexual harassment, CNN's Anthony Bourdain expressed regret for his participation in and validation of a culture he sees as similarly sexist: the restaurant industry. In an interview Thursday with Poppy Harlow on CNN's "New Day," Bourdain -- whose girlfriend, Asia Argento, is among Weinstein's accusers -- explained that he had "spent nearly 30 years in the restaurant industry, an industry and a culture that has been pervasively hostile to women." 565

A woman close to the Parkland, Florida, school shooter called an FBI tip line in early January to describe a young man with an arsenal of knives and guns who was "going to explode" and said she feared him "getting into a school and just shooting the place up.""I just want to, you know, get it off my chest in case something does happen and I do believe something's going to happen," the woman said, according to a transcript of the Jan. 5 call reviewed by CNN.The FBI admitted last week that it had failed to act on the tip. In a statement then, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that "we have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrible tragedy."  739
