Denver Broncos starting running back Melvin Gordon was charged with a DUI and speeding of 25-39 mph over the limit Tuesday night in downtown Denver, according to court records.“We are aware of the situation involving Melvin Gordon. Our organization has been in communication with him and is in the process of gathering more details,” the team said in a statement on Wednesday.Gordon, 27, was cited at 5th Avenue and Speer Blvd., according to court records. Defense attorneys for the suspect in the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre entered a plea of not guilty Thursday to federal charges and requested a jury trial.Robert Bowers, 46, walked into court in wrist and ankle restraints Thursday, his second court appearance this week, after a federal grand jury indicted him on 44 federal charges in last weekend's slaying of 11 worshippers at the Tree of Life synagogue.During the arraignment, Bowers watched prosecutors and nodded periodically. He responded "yes" that he understood the penalties of the charges, and his public defender, Michael J. Novara, entered a plea of not guilty "as is typical," he said.Of the 44 charges, 32 counts are punishable by death, a grand jury filing released Wednesday said.The court hearing comes the same day that crowds of mourners will lay more victims to rest and as their memorials continue to grow.On Monday, Bowers had been brought to the courtroom in a wheelchair and only spoke to answer the judge's questions. DETROIT (AP) — Honda is recalling over 1.6 million minivans and SUVs in the U.S. to fix problems that include faulty backup camera displays, malfunctioning dashboard lights, and sliding doors that don't latch properly. The problems were revealed in four recalls posted Tuesday by the government. They cover certain Odyssey minivans from 2018 to 2020, Pilot SUVs from 2019 through 2021, and Passport SUVs from 2019 and 2020. In a statement posted to its website, the company said they would fix the repairs for free."American Honda will voluntarily recall approximately 608,000 model-year 2018-2020 Honda Odyssey, 2019-2020 Passport and 2019-2021 Pilot vehicles in the United States to complete one or more of four recall repairs, for free," the company said in the statement. "There have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to these actions."Honda has traced the problems to faulty backup camera software programming, water entering door handles, water getting into camera mounting holes, and defective instrument panel software. (KGTV) - Several homes have been burglarized during the past week in the hills of Olde Del Mar.Neighbors believe they're targeted because they're very freeway accessible; burglars can make a quick getaway.Michelle Angles was a victim."We're so close to the freeway that criminals are coming here because it's an easy pop onto the freeway right after they burglarize. We've had our car broken into; thousands of dollars of things taken."Monday afternoon, just minutes before two homes around the corner and a few blocks away were burglarized, her home surveillance video caught three shady characters ambling down the street."The video shows three young men walking along the sidewalk and they stop right here and you see them looking around and talking very softly.  They noticed the camera and immediately started walking away and one of the young men.. you can see him stop and walk up the grass and he looked into a window next door.  So they were casing houses in the neighborhood," Angles said.At the break-in five blocks away, thieves ransacked the house; stealing jewelry, electronics, cameras and photographic gear.  They also left behind an autographed Steven Tyler guitar with the authentication paperwork right next to it.  They also left many fingerprints on furniture they moved around.  The homeowner said they fed the dog, too; and though she appreciates that the dog wasn't hurt, she's hopeful the fingerprints will lead to arrests. 1517
