(KGTV and AP) -- The massive California wildfire dubbed the Carr Fire is fully contained as of Thursday.Cal Fire made the announcement Thursday night about the fire that claimed eight lives and destroyed more than 1,000 homes.Firefighters will continue to patrol the area for several more days as crews work to repair broken fences and other damage cause by the fire fight.In total, the blaze scorched nearly 360 square miles in and around Redding, making it the seventh largest wildfire in state history.The fire killed four civilians, including a woman and her two grandchildren, a Redding fire inspector and a bulldozer operator.A Pacific Gas & Electric apprentice lineman and state fire heavy equipment mechanic also died in vehicle-related accidents. 788

President Trump may be finding pockets of support from inside the very state he's suing.It's because a growing number of local governments are considering joining the administration's fight against California's new sanctuary laws.One of those laws prohibits state and local authorities from notifying federal immigration when they arrest an undocumented immigrant. There are exceptions for serious and violent crimes. Escondido Mayor Sam Abed opposes the sanctuary laws, and hopes his City Council will do the same and file a legal brief in support of the federal suit. These price options include discussing whether a medication may be less expensive if using insurance or paying out-of-pocket.At Wednesday's signing, the President called the gag clauses "unjust" and said the legislation would lower drug prices that are "way out of whack" and "way too high.""It's called the law of supply and demand. They didn't want to have that. But now we have that and it's going to lower drug prices," Trump added.Both the President and Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said at the signing that they expect further regulatory action on reducing drug prices in the coming months.Some states and municipalities have pharmacy gag order bans, but the Patient Right to Know Drug Prices Act, sponsored by Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins, addresses banning the practice of gag orders on a federal level. The Know the Lowest Price Act, sponsored by Michigan Democratic Sen.
