SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a woman who disappeared while driving from San Diego to Victorville nearly two weeks ago. According to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, 53-year-old Izetta Burney went missing on November 24. Burney disappeared while driving home to Victorville after visiting a San Diego spa, a friend tells 10News. According to the friend, Burney’s phone goes straight to voicemail and her credit cards and bank account show no signs of activity. Burney was last seen in Victorville driving a black 2008 four-door BMW with California license plate number 7EXG207. She is described as five feet, 11 inches tall with a tattoo on her right arm and a mole above her lip. She was last seen wearing a black top and black spandex pants. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Cal Fire is battling a brush fire near East San Diego County on the U.S.-Mexico border. The flames broke out after 11 a.m. near the Cottonwood Creek area off SR-94, not far from Barrett Junction. 100 acres burned in the U.S., with the fire spreading to 650 acres in total by 7:30 p.m. It is 10 percent contained.The fire has a moderate rate of spread and was burning light brush, Cal Fire confirmed to 10News. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- As the weather across San Diego County warms, rattlesnakes are out if full force.Rattlesnakes live throughout Southern California and live in the deserts as well as along the coast, according to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The department says most bites happen from April to October when the snakes and people are most active outdoors. The potential of running into a rattlesnake shouldn’t deter anyone from enjoying the great outdoors, the department adds. According to the California Poison Control System, the chances of being bitten are small when compared with the risk of other environmental injuries. Taking the time to learn about safety precautions before going outdoors can make all the difference,” Johnston added. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — California public health officials said Friday that the state's ICU capacity dropped dangerously low, prompting warnings to take the latest regional stay-at-home order seriously.The Office of the Governor announced on social media that, "there is less than 10% ICU capacity remaining statewide.
