"It's really a very effective way to get unstuck when you have an issue like ADHD or autism."She says children with ADHD and autism may have be having more difficulties amid the pandemic than others."What we've seen during the pandemic is an exacerbation of pre-existing conditions, and some kids for the first time are showing signs of panic, loneliness, depression and anxiety," Capanna-Hodge said. "Certainly, we're seeing parents who are extremely overwhelmed."Those same overwhelmed parents, hoping for holiday togetherness, are now having to explain to their children why they have to have a quieter than usual holiday gathering.Capanna-Hodge has three tips for parents to do just that.1. Police in Hampton, Virginia are investigating after 119 MacBook Air laptops were reported stolen from an elementary school.Officers were called to Phenix Elementary School on August 17.Police say two unidentified suspects broke into the school through a window shortly after 3 a.m. and made off with the computers.23-year-old Averi Wilkins of Hampton was charged with one count of possession of stolen property in connection to the case.Wilkins tells News 3 he buys and sells used electronics all the time and didn’t know the laptops had been stolen. (KGTV) — Border Patrol says agents arrested two people on Thursday in separate incidents of methamphetamine smuggling.The first incident occurred when agents stopped a woman driving a 2006 Honda Accord at the Interstate 8 checkpoint in Pine Valley. The woman was referred to secondary inspection, where agents say a canine team discovered 64 packages of methamphetamine hidden in the vehicle’s quarter panels and gas tank. The drugs are worth an estimated street value of 6,175.The 22-year-old U.S. citizen and the narcotics were turned over to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.Several hours later, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen driving a 2005 Ford Mustang was stopped at the same checkpoint. He was referred to a secondary inspection where a canine team also discovered 39 packages of meth inside the vehicle’s gas tank, worth an estimated street value of ,250.The man and the drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.Once again our agents have intercepted these dangerous drugs before they could reach the streets, poisoning our community.
