To stop the spread of the coronavirus, WHO’s emergencies chief, Dr. Michael Ryan, said Monday that the “shocking” rate of COVID-19 cases and deaths, particularly in the U.S., mean that people shouldn’t get too close to their loved ones this year. Georgia has taken a step toward stripping Delta of a tax break after the company cut ties with the NRA.A Republican-controlled state Senate committee on Wednesday removed an exemption for jet fuel from a tax bill under consideration. The exemption could save Delta tens of millions of dollars. The bill could go to the Senate floor as early as Thursday.If the full Senate agrees to the changes, the bill goes back to the House.
