BONSALL (CNS) - A North County high school student was arrested on suspicion of making a specific threat to shoot up a planned school event, authorities reported Friday.Bonsall High School officials called the San Diego County Sheriff's Department around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday to report that a student possibly had a gun at the campus on West Lilac Road, sheriff's Lt. Ricardo Lopez said.Deputies responded and learned that the student "had made specific threats to commit a shooting at a planned school event in the near future," Lopez said. Belgian authorities are investigating the killing of three people in the eastern city of Liege on Tuesday as a terror attack, the country's prosecutor said.The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. (4:30 a.m. ET) when an assailant stabbed two policemen from behind before stealing their service weapons and using them on the officers, Liege Prosecutor Philippe Dulieu said at a news conference on Tuesday.After killing the two police officers, the attacker continued walking through the street and opened fire on a parked vehicle, fatally wounding the driver inside, Dulieu added.According to the prosecutor, the suspect then took refuge in a local high school where he held a woman hostage. When police intervened, the man opened fire, injuring several other officers, before he was shot dead.It is not yet clear what the attacker's motive may have been, a spokesperson from the Liege prosecutor's office told CNN earlier. Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said he and the government send their thoughts to the victims and their families.The Belgian Royal Palace also tweeted its sympathies following the shooting. BETHEL, Ohio — Love is in the air at a small local farm that focuses on selling quail eggs and other tasty farm creations like their bourbon-based caramel.Woodbottom Quail Farms even has a saying: "Loving the Farm and Farming the Love.""Maybe be able to give someone something they might not have been able to have as nice otherwise," said farm co-owner Tom Segrist.Segrist is an Army veteran, having served as a Scout from 1986 to 1990.He and his wife, who goes by "M," both decided early in 2020 to offer up something special."I posted on Facebook, and then it was just announced that we're doing the weddings, you know, it's all-inclusive, everything's free," M Segrist said.She said the response was incredible, with well over 100 couples writing their love story and submitting their application. The main qualifying point to receive the free, all-inclusive wedding inside their quaint farm barn: one person in the couple must be a military veteran."We collected new and gently used wedding dresses," M Segrist said. "There's a consignment shop offering bridesmaids dresses. There's full salon, mani-pedi, facials, seamstress, floral photography for engagement and the ceremony. There's tons of gifts."Those gifts have come from veteran-based businesses across the United States who wanted to make the six couples' big days even more special. (KGTV) - A City of Chula Vista spokesman said the city does not have any immediate plans to redevelop the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course despite a report that showed roughly 2,700 homes built on the Bonita-area course.“For anybody to want to take it away, it’s hurtful,” exclaimed Bonita resident Xochitl Rouston.A report called “Redevelopment of the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course” was shared on a Bonita Facebook group by a member who found the report online. The report outlines options to redevelop the area currently occupied by the course and parts of Rohr Park, which is in Chula Vista but borders Bonita.“Where are we going to take the kids?  Where are we going to go walking?  Where are we going to have our parties?” questioned Rouston who has lived in Bonita for more than 40 years.A Chula Vista spokesman told 10News the city completed a study in 2015 that said revenue at the course was declining and it wasn’t generating enough revenue to refurbish the course.  The report in question was issued so the city could “know what our options are should the golf course not be able to generate a return and pay for itself.” The spokesman emphasized the city is in the very early stages and there is no timeline for any projects.“We’re just trying to raise awareness, get everybody together,” said Rouston, who said they were surprised to learn any redevelopment was being considered.The Chula Vista spokesman said the Bonita residents would be notified of any discussions or meetings pertaining to the golf course or Rohr Park. 1594
