A deadly crash involving semi-trucks has shut down eastbound Interstate 10 west of Tonopah, Arizona. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, multiple semi-trucks were involved in the crash near milepost 79. DPS says a semi rolled over in the area and a second semi was able to come to a stop to avoid the rolled-over truck. At that time, a third truck hit the second semi, killing the driver of the third truck. The impact of the wreck caused the second semi to hit the rolled truck, causing injuries to the second driver. Eastbound lanes are expected to remain closed for some time while crews get "heavy duty tow trucks" to remove the vehicles and debris. The Arizona Department of Transportation says drivers can use the following detour: I-10 EB detour at Vicksburg Road (milepost 45) north to US 60, east to Salome Road and drive southeast back to I-10 past crash site. 925

A little girl with a passion for writing letters is now becoming a published author.Emerson Weber went viral earlier this year when her dad tweeted her story.Emerson had about a dozen pen-pals at the time. She writes them letters filled with jokes and stories, and she always decorates the envelopes.“It's like a little piece of art that someone's going to find in their mailbox, and I get my inspiration from everywhere,” said Weber, author of “Sincerely, Emerson.”Weber wanted to thank her mail carrier for always taking all her letters, so she wrote him too. Her mail carrier then shared that letter with his supervisor at work, who shared it regionally, and the responses poured in. Two boxes full of letters from postal workers arrived. Some sent back stamps or asked her to send a letter to more people in their family. Many postal workers said they felt seen for the first time in a long time, and she wrote back to all of them.“In this time that's a little crazy, they're still out there doing their job, so we can stay connected to our pen pals and people we love,” said Weber. After her story spread online, even more people from all over started writing Weber. She hopes when people read her book, they realize how one act of kindness can spread.“And I also hope they take the time to write a letter because people really appreciate that,” she said. “Your grandparents, your friends, anyone would really love to get a letter from you and it's just so meaningful.”Her picture book based on the viral story, “Sincerely Emerson,” comes out next week. 1562

A local pastor is speaking out after he says a woman leaving a pizza place in Detroit coughed on him as they crossed paths. The woman was wearing a mask, he wasn’t, and the whole incident was captured on surveillance video.Michael Hale and his wife Victoria were out celebrating Juneteenth, but when the couple went to get a pizza the celebration turned to anger. He says a woman started interrogating him about not wearing a mask.“She literally started to say things to me like, where is your mask or did you lose your mask. And so I told her my mask is in the car, I’m not going to be in here,” he said. “She literally walked back out, leaned over and coughed directly into my face."Surveillance video of the incident captured every moment, from when Michael crosses paths with that woman and she appears to cough in his face. Michael immediately reacted.“I just basically told her that you can’t do this stuff, 'why did you do this to me. I didn’t do anything to you like that,'” Michael recalled. His wife, Victoria, was sitting in the car and couldn’t believe what she saw. She says they filed a police report after the incident but was told police can’t do anything about it.“The sergeant told me that no criminal charges will be filed against her and in the State of Michigan it is currently not a crime to cough on someone," Victoria said. "But, according to the prosecutor they can’t go after things like this because it’s not a crime and they don’t have the resources to pursue these types of things."Michael says he should of had his mask on, but what happened to him shouldn’t have happened at all.“You don’t have the opportunity to police me and to ridicule me for not wearing my mask because no one made you in charge,” he said.DPD would only confirm to us they are investigating. Michael says he always wears his mask. He says from now on he won’t take any chances. This story originally reported by Alan Campbell on wxyz.com. 1947

A former model has come forward with an allegation that President Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in his VIP suite at the U.S. Open tennis tournament in 1997.Former model Amy Dorris told The Guardian that the then-real estate tycoon "shoved his tongue down my throat" and then grabbed her buttocks and breasts despite her denial of his advances.According to The Guardian, Trump's personal lawyers denied the accusation "in the strongest possible terms." Several people close to Dorris, including her mother, her friend and a therapist, told the newspaper that Dorris had told them of the alleged assault either immediately after the incident happened or in the years since.Dorris also provided The Guardian with several photos of her, her then-boyfriend Jason Binn and Trump at the tennis tournament. The White House has not yet responded to media requests for comment about The Guardian's report.According to the newspaper, Dorris was in New York in 1997 with Binn, a friend of Trump's. At the time, Trump was married to his second wife, Marla Maples.During the tournament, Dorris got up from her seat to use the restroom because she was having trouble with her contact lenses. When she was finished in the bathroom, she says she found Trump waiting outside the door.At that point, Dorris says Trump forced himself on her "after a brief exchange." She allegedly told Trump, "no, please stop," but said he "didn't care.""I just kind of was in shock," Dorris told The Guardian. "I felt violated, obviously. But I still wasn't processing it and just was trying to go back to talking to everyone and having a good time because, I don't know, I felt pressured to be that way."Dorris also claims while she wasn't sure if she got specific about the incident with her boyfriend, she later told Binn that he had to "do something" about Trump because he was "all over her."Dorris spent the next few days with Binn in New York, and saw Trump several more times during her trip. She said Trump did not make any more physical moves but continued to pursue her with leading questions.Dorris told The Guardian that she continued to stay in New York because she hadn't fully processed what had happened."I was there from Florida and I was with Jason. I had no money, nowhere to go. We were going from event to event and it was overwhelming," Dorris told The Guardian. "People spend years around people who have abused them, that's what happens when something traumatic happens, you freeze."The allegation is just the latest assault allegation made against Trump in recent years. Trump is currently facing two lawsuits regarding assault allegations, and several women came forward prior to the 2016 election to formally accuse Trump of assault. During that election cycle, a video leaked in which Trump boasted about sexually assaulting women.Dorris considered coming forward in 2016 with her allegation but decided to remain silent for her family's safety. But according to The Guardian, she wants to be a role model for her 13-year-old twin daughters."I want them to see that I didn't stay quiet, that I stood up to somebody who did something that was unacceptable," Dorris told The Guardian. 3189

A Ferguson city councilman appears to have defeated the St. Louis County prosecuting attorney who oversaw the controversial grand jury inquiry into the 2014 police killing of unarmed black teen Michael Brown in a Tuesday primary, according to unofficial election results.Wesley Bell would replace Robert McCulloch, who took office in 1991. A former public defender and municipal court judge, Bell, who is black, ran as a reformer and pledged to end cash bail, "create a task force to identify factors leading to wrongful convictions" and increase transparency in the system.McCulloch was criticized for his handling of the investigation into Darren Wilson, the white officer who shot Brown after a brief altercation on a Ferguson street. Wilson was never charged in connection with the case, which eventually touched off a Justice Department probe that accused the police department of systematic racial bias. There is no Republican candidate in the race, so Bell would be all but assured of taking over from McCulloch when his term ends. The unofficial election results show Bell defeating the 7-term incumbent by more than 13 points, with nearly 57 percent of the vote.Bell told The New York Times in an interview before the primary that if he had been in the job after Brown's killing, he would have appointed a special prosecutor."The relationship between the prosecutor's office and law enforcement is so close," he said, "and therein lies the definition of conflict of interest."In a series of tweets after the election results came in, activist DeRay Mckesson, who became a national figure during the Ferguson protests, cheered McCulloch's apparent ouster."Shout-out to all of the activist and organizers who led the grassroots effort to get Wesley Bell elected," he wrote. "People power has impact. #ByeBob" 1827
