(KGTV) - Sears in Chula Vista will shut down by February 2020, the chain’s parent company said Thursday. “Since purchasing substantially all the assets of Sears Holdings Corporation in February 2019, Transformco has faced a difficult retail environment and other challenges,” the company wrote in a news release. In all, 96 Sears and Kmart stores will be closed nationwide starting December 2, according to Transformco. When the process ends next year, the company will operate 182 remaining stores. The Navy had intended to hold a Trident Review of Gallagher after he was acquired of murdering a captured ISIS teen and firing at Iraqi civilians, but convicted of taking a photo next to the body. President Trump, though, reversed Gallagher's demotion before the Navy announced it would review the case.Gallagher's Trident Review never came. (KGTV) — The California Democratic Party headquarters was evacuated Wednesday after a suspicious package was reportedly discovered in the mail, before later being deemed safe."Earlier in the day CDP headquarters received a suspicious package in the mail, which we reported to law enforcement out of an abundance of caution," the CA Democratic Party tweeted. "We have evacuated [sic] our headquarters building as a safety [sic] precaution, and law enforcement is presently addressing the situation."According to the Sacramento Bee, a manila envelope addressed to Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez was received by the CA DNP's downtown Sacramento headquarters.The envelope was delivered around 11 a.m. with the day's mail and staff placed it outside and called police as soon as they noticed it, the Bee reported. 834

(KGTV) -- Tuesday, SpaceX launchged several satellites into orbit that will replace a satellite network and monitor climate change. The Iridium-6/GRACE-FO satellites were launched just before 1 p.m. from Vandenberg Air Force Base. For this particular mission, SpaceX launched five Iridium NEXT satellites as part of the company's campaign to replace the world's largest commercial satellite network. A total of eight Iridium NEXT launches are planned with the company that will send into orbit 75 new satellites. Also on board the Falcon 9 rocket will be satellites that will monitor the movement of earth's mass for NASA and the German Research Centre for Geosciences.Watch the launch in the player below:  775
