CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) – Legoland California officials say the Carlsbad theme park will not reopen to the public before Aug. 1.In a statement, officials said: “Considering the constantly changing Coronavirus situation and the recent announcement by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, LEGOLAND? California will not reopen prior to August 1, 2020. The Board announced there will be no reopenings approved prior to that date.”Officials also said a reopening date for the Legoland Hotel will be announced soon.Despite the park’s closure, the Sea Life aquarium is open for guests under state and county guidelines for aquariums.When Legoland California reopens, officials said it will be at reduced attendance and temperature checks for employees. CASS COUNTY, Ind. — Six people, including four children, died early Wednesday morning in a house fire near Logansport, Indiana.The fire started at about 1:45 a.m., Wednesday in the 4300 block of Pottawatomie Road. Deputies who arrived said they climbed on the roof and broke windows to try and get inside, but the flames were too intense, Logansport Pharos-Tribune reporter Mitchell Kirk said.A man and a woman made it out of the house and were hospitalized. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Indiana Fire Marshal's Office has assigned three investigators to the site.  634

You may know the name Vulcan Wireless because their transceivers about the size of your hand are helping NASA map the universe. "Of course we're the communication link so the images that come in they get transmitted through our radio waves," Kevin Lynaugh, Founder of Vulcan Wireless, said.ASTERIA launched in 2017, "ASTERIA (Arcsecond Space Telescope Enabling Research in Astrophysics) is a technology demonstration and opportunistic science mission to conduct astrophysical measurements using a CubeSat." Basically the telescope uses light to map stars and planets.That was their biggest project to date. Now NASA hopes their partnership will help increase connectivity for deeper space missions."When you have a spacecraft floating out there, if you don't have a data link it's a brick right? So we provide the communications," Lynaugh explained it's similar to how your Wifi modem works at home.In Vulcan Wireless's Lab, you'll find the same technology NASA uses."When we close this thing down and we lock it we're able to pump all the air out of it so we can simulate space environment with this," Lynaugh said. Carnival Cruise Lines announced Wednesday that it had canceled most cruises that were scheduled to embark from U.S. through the end of January 2021.In addition, the company announced that all cruises embarking from Baltimore; Charleston, South Carolina; Long Beach, California; Mobile, Alabama; New Orleans and San Diego has been canceled through the end of February and that all cruises on the Carnival Legend that embark from Tampa, Florida had been canceled through March 28.In a tweet, Carnival said that when it restarts operations in 2021, it will focus on cruises embarking from Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida. CASTAIC (CNS) - A man who stole an SUV from a customer at a Santa Monica dealership led authorities on a chase for over two hours Friday, from South Los Angeles to Ventura County, before being arrested in the Castaic area.The man allegedly stole the Subaru from a person visiting a Santa Monica dealership "a few days ago," according to Sgt. Blake Cooper of the Santa Monica Police Department, but details were not immediately available.The chase started about 6:15 p.m. Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department said. It was not immediately clear where the chase began. The driver had a woman with him at the beginning of the pursuit, but she got out, according to broadcast reports. 692
