BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday that China stands ready to continue exchanging experience in COVID-19 prevention and control with Finland and help the European country tackle such difficulties as the current shortage of medical supplies.
In the anti-virus fight, China has taken a highly responsible attitude towards humanity, stood on the side of morality, proactively provided help to other countries, and sent medical experts to share experience in prevention and control, thus contributing to the international anti-epidemic cooperation, he said.
Over more than a month, the 16 temporary hospitals have received more than 12,000 patients until the last two of them were shut down Tuesday as the city sees more patients recover and a sharp drop in the number of new infection cases, according to Wang.
"With routine exchanges of information with the WHO and other countries including the United States since Jan. 3, China announced the closure of Wuhan's outbound channels on Jan. 23," the spokesperson said.
During the inspection, Xi visited the Xixi National Wetland Park and the City Brain, a smart city platform aiming to improve urban management.
