GLOBE, Arizona — Police are investigating a shooting at a Globe, Arizona bar Sunday night that left two people dead.The shooting occurred at the Jammerz bar around 11:30 p.m. local time; police say a lone gunman walked in and opened fire. Four people were shot during the incident, and two of those people were killed. There is no word on the condition of the surviving two victims.One person of interest was taken into custody. Authorities said they are confident the person in custody is the suspect. It appears to be a random act of violence, according to information from police. HILLSBORO, Ohio — A dramatic security recording from inside the Highland County Common Pleas Court shows an inmate fleeing his own sentencing hearing on foot, evading deputies in the process, on Tuesday morning.According to court records, 34-year-old Nickolaus Kyle Garrison had in August pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. He appeared in court Tuesday to receive a sentence of six months from Judge Rocky Coss.The Highland County Press reported Garrison ran when deputies attempted to take him back into custody after his sentencing.The video released by the county shows Garrison running from the courtroom and out into a hallway, pursued by deputies and a court bailiff. As he runs downstairs, the bailiff attempts to jump over the banister and grab him; the bailiff falls, sliding down the stairs on his back, and Garrison escapes.By the end of the week, Garrison was back in custody. He was captured at a motel in Clinton County around 4:30 a.m. Friday by officers and deputies from multiple law enforcement agencies. Garrison will now face additional charges. HAWTHORNE (CNS) - A Hawthorne police officer was wounded and a person has been arrested in connection with an officer-involved shooting this morning.Officers were dispatched about 9:20 a.m. to the 14400 block of Aviation Boulevard, where the shooting occurred, according to a watch commander at the Hawthorne Police Department.The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was called about 9:30 a.m. to assist in the investigation, according to the Sheriff's Information Bureau. Paramedics rushed the wounded officer to an area hospital, and a person has been detained in connection with the shooting, he said.It was unclear if the person being detained was the shooter, he said. A witness at the scene told reporters he saw the suspect pull his gun out and heard ``tons of gunfire.''Authorities urged the public to avoid the area of Rosecrans and Aviation. 863
