At least three people have died, including an alleged gunman, after gunfire erupted at a home in Port St. Lucie in southeastern Florida. Officers on scene said a chilling 911 call came in Monday afternoon, a girl said someone was inside her house shooting people.At about 1:15 p.m. ET Monday, the city’s police department advised the public to stay away from the scene on Morningside Blvd. near Morningside Elementary School. AURORA, Colo. – Hundreds of people are expected to gather Friday evening to demand that three officers involved in the in-custody death of Elijah McClain be fired by the Aurora Police Department.“For ten months Aurora Police Department has shielded Elijah McClain's murderers on their force from facing any form of justice. It was only last Friday, just ahead of a mass march for Elijah, that they pulled the three killers off the streets and put them on paid desk duty,” the Party for Socialism and Liberation – Denver (PSL) said in a statement about the event. “We need to make it clear that this is absolutely NOT enough.”Last Friday, APD announced officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt and Randy Roedema had been taken off street duty "because of threats and harassment," according to a police spokesperson. Police said those threats involved phone calls as well as email messages.Officials did not disclose to which department the officers were reassigned, but said they were working in a "non-enforcement capacity."The PSL says they expect murder charges “for the three killers” and demand that APD fire all three “IMMEDIATELY.”Organizers of Friday’s protest are also calling for the release of the names — as well as the immediate termination — of all officers involved in an incident involving a photograph taken near the site where McClain struggled with officers. Authorities in Costa Rica say that a body has been found on the Airbnb property where missing Florida woman, 36-year-old Carla Stefaniak, was staying.Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) tells WFTS that the body was buried in a mountainous area located in the back of the property, less than 200 feet away from where Stefaniak had been staying. OIJ agents had been searching the area with specialized dogs. At this time, authorities have not been able to confirm that the body is Stefaniak.In Spanish, Walter Espinoza, the director general of the OIJ said, “the body was in a state of decomposition but the preliminary observation does verify the body is a woman.”In a press conference on Monday, Espinoza said that biological fluids consistent with blood were discovered inside the Airbnb property. The blood has been sent to labs for testing.The body cannot be positively identified by officials until an autopsy is performed.Stefaniak hasn't been seen or heard from since Tuesday, November 27. She traveled to Costa Rica with her sister-in-law, April Burton, on November 22 to celebrate her birthday. Burton flew back on November 27. Stefaniak had plans to return to the United States on November 28, bound for Florida, but never arrived for her flight. She checked into her Airbnb, located at Calle Hoja Blanca in San Antonio de Escazú, for one night on November 27. According to Burton, the last thing they knew about Stefaniak was that she was inside that Airbnb on the night of November 27. The last time Burton spoke to Stefaniak, she told her that it was raining crazy and the power went out. She continued with, "it's pretty sketchy here," according to Burton.The final photograph Stefaniak sent family members was from inside the Airbnb. Australia is ordering automakers to recall more than two million vehicles fitted with potentially deadly airbags.The Australian government said Wednesday that the cars contain airbags made by Takata, the Japanese company at the heart of a scandal that has led to tens of millions of vehicle recalls around the world in recent years.Takata airbags have been linked to at least 23 deaths globally, including one in Australia, according to a statement by the Australian Treasury. A defect can cause the airbags to explode and blast shrapnel into drivers and passengers.Voluntary recalls in Australia have previously been announced by big car brands including BMW, Chevrolet, Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. But the government said those steps haven't been enough to deal with the danger, leaving around 2.3 million vehicles with the defective airbags still on the country's roads."The voluntary recall process has not been effective in some cases, and some manufacturers have not taken satisfactory action to address the serious safety risk which arises after the airbags are more than six years old," said Michael Sukkar, an assistant Australian Treasury minister.The new compulsory recall includes models made by major carmakers such as Ford, Mercedes Benz, Tesla and Volkswagen.The total number of affected cars in Australia is 4 million, or nearly one in five passenger vehicles on the country's roads. All the faulty Takata airbags have to be replaced by the end of 2020, according to the government.Wednesday's announcement followed an investigation by Australia's consumer watchdog, the Treasury said.Takata's faulty airbags have led to massive recalls around the world over the past decade.
