United spokesman Jonathan Guerin said the passenger told the flight attendant there was a dog in the carrier, but the attendant "did not hear or understand her, and did not knowingly place the dog in the overhead bin."The incident drew outrage online and prompted a US senator to demand an explanation from United."As we stated, we take full responsibility and are deeply sorry for this tragic accident. (KGTV) — An East County dog owner is crediting a pet psychic for reuniting her with her missing, injured dog.7-year-old Bonnie bolted out of the front door of Missy Benker's home after the door was left open late Tuesday night. "Definitely a desperate feeling," said Benker.The Dachshund mix and another dog, Holly, escaped the home together. An extensive search of Benker's 20-acre ranch turned up nothing. Harmel told her the dog had been attacked with injuries on the left side of her face and right side of her body. She added that Bonnie was scared and hiding. ALPINE (CNS) - A ceremony will be held at the Alpine Community Center Saturday to induct 20 honorees on the Alpine Veterans Wall of Fame.The ceremony will feature a performance by local color guards and an appearance by the Patriot Guard Riders in addition to tributes to current members of the wall.
