UFA, Russia, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday urged the business community in the BRICS countries to make new contributions to lifting economic development in the five states to a new high.
He said China remains a staunch force for regional peace and stability.
The BRICS countries are facing some challenges in their respective development, but they still enjoy huge development potentials and the upward trend won't change, Xi told the 7th BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit in the southwestern Russian city of Ufa.
Dayana Martinez Torres, spokesperson for Cuban biotech group BioCubaFarma, told ACN the meeting will gather about 100 representatives from both countries who will draw up the agreements that will guide the development of biotech cooperation over the coming years.
Suu Kyi echoed Xi saying friendly ties between Myanmar and China as neighbors were of great importance.
