BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- A spokesperson for the Chinese military said it resolutely opposes a report by the U.S. Department of Defense on China's military and security developments, claiming the report misinterpreted China's strategic intention and hyped up the so-called "China military threat."
The MOF and the Ministry of Civil Affairs urged local authorities to ensure timely allocation and strengthened management of the allowances, which will fund aid programs including the basic living allowance, according to an official with the MOF.
The two met on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Foreign Ministers meetings and related meetings held here from Aug. 2 to 4.
The DPP has refused to endorse the 1992 Consensus, severely undermined the political foundation of cross-Strait relations, stubbornly pursued "de-sinicization" and "gradual Taiwan independence" activities, and obstructed cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation.
