Two daycare employees have been arrested in Sioux Falls, South Dakota after surveillance video caught them repeatedly abusing young children during nap time, police say.On Friday, Teresa Gallagher, 31, and Kenedi Wendt, 22, were both charged with 25 counts of abuse or cruelty to a minor.The two women were employees at Little Blessings Learning Center.A parent of one of the children who attended the daycare notified police in late February, according to KARE. From there, the daycare reviewed the surveillance video and immediately fired Gallagher and Wendt.According to detectives who watched the video, the two were seen slamming the children to the ground, yanking them by their arms and stomping on them.Police spokesperson Sam Clemens said it wasn't clear what was causing the abuse — even a slight movement from a child could set the workers off, reports state. The children in the video are between the ages of 3 and 4. Two people died early Tuesday morning after attempting to escape from Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents, according to Delano, California Police.At about 6:54 a.m. Delano Police officers responded to a call about an overturned vehicle.They found an SUV on its roof with two people inside. Investigators found that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Cecil Avenue at a high speed. The driver drove into the dirt shoulder and lost control.The car overturned and hit a pole. Both the male and female occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.Investigators found that before the crash happened, federal ICE agents attempted to pull them over. The driver pulled over but drove away once the agents got out of their car. 745

VENTURA, Calif. (AP) — A study shows California’s stay-at-home order in response to the coronavirus outbreak seems to have saved some wildlife, as decreased traffic resulted in fewer collisions with mountain lions, deer and other large animals. The Ventura County Star reports a study by the Road Ecology Center at the University of California, Davis found traffic declined by about 75% after the emergency order went into effect in March. The number of animals struck and killed by vehicles also fell, including a 58% decrease in fatal crashes involving mountain lions between the 10 weeks before and 10 weeks after the order. 635
