LIMA, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Jia Qinglin arrived in Lima on Sunday, kicking off his official good-will visit to this South American country.     Jia, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, delivered a written speech upon his arrival at the airport of the Peruvian capital. BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Heavy snow in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region had left one person dead and forced the evacuation of 5,435 as of 8:00 p.m. Friday, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs Saturday.     The heavy snow also flattened 799 houses and caused damages to 4,897 others in the region, the ministry said.
