SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are investigating the death of a child at a Tierrasanta home Tuesday.San Diego Police responded to the 3100 Block of Minuteman St. just before 11 a.m. to reports of a four-month-old child not breathing. When paramedics arrived, they began CPR on the infant.First responders were not able to revive the child.Police do not suspect the death to be criminal in nature at this point. However, police said since they are still not sure what led to the baby's death, they are investigating.The child died in a home in a military housing neighborhood.  624

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person is dead after a shooting in the Mountain View area Wednesday.San Diego Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 3 p.m. in the 3500 block of Florence Lane. Officers arrived to find a victim in an alley suffering from a gunshot wound, according to City News Service.The victim, described only as a male, was pronounced dead at the scene.The suspected shooter was described as a man who appeared in his 30s, wearing shots and a black tank top. He seen fleeing the area with another person in a silver Dodge Ram pickup or similar truck, CNS reported.SDPD is investigating. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Poway Unified School District has approved a plan for some students to return to in-person classes starting as soon as this month.The district's board on Thursday approved a phased reopening plan for elementary schools starting on Oct. 1, with the first group of schools opening with an AM/PM schedule.Abraxas High School will reopen with an A/B schedule on Oct. 8, and PUSD's remaining elementary schools will reopen with an AM/PM schedule on Oct. 12, according to the district.The board also approved resuming on-campus special education services and in-person instruction for small groups after Sept. 24.RELATED: San Diego County schools allowed to reopen for in-person learningAll students, from preschool through 12th grade, will be required to wear a mask when returning to campus. Virtual class options will continue to be made available for families.Board leaders reached an agreement on allowing small groups of middle and high school students to return to campus for targeted learning support, social-emotional groups, special education services, and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Planned Parenthood officials say a recent act of vandalism at their Pacific Beach location will not "stop us from serving our patients."Red paint appeared to be thrown across the location's sign and windows on Mission Bay Drive sometime between late Sunday afternoon and Monday. A photo of crews cleaning the site was captured by a Reddit user and posted online here.In a statement to 10News, Planned Parenthood said the vandalism would not affect operations:"While we are disappointed by the recent vandalism to our health center, no attempt at intimidation will stop us from serving our patients.
