SINGAPORE, June 1 (Xinhua) -- The People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China is ready to work with other militaries to make further contribution to regional and global peace and development, Wang Guanzhong, a senior PLA officer, said on Sunday.
He also met with heads of Russia's top oil and gas companies on implementing the bilateral contracts, saying Chinese and Russian oil and gas companies would continue to work on the basis of the existing cooperative results to deepen and expand cooperation and advance the China-Russia energy cooperation for even greater achievement in line with the consensus reached by the presidents of the two countries.
Senior officials from other ministries and departments including banking regulation, development and reform, finance, commerce, housing and urban-rural development attended the session in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to listen to suggestions and respond to questions and criticism from lawmakers.
