PARKLAND, Fla. — On Monday, the State Attorney's Office released a 217-page transcript of Nikolas Cruz's conversation with a Broward Sheriff's Office detective hours after he was arrested on Feb. 14 for opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School killing 17 people.The interview was conducted by Detective John Curcio on February 14, at 6:09 p.m.The detective began with a series of standard questions, such as asking Cruz his name, where he was born and how old he is.Shortly after the interview began, the detective leaves the room to get some water. While he was alone in the interview room but still being recorded, Cruz said, "Just kill me. Just f***ing kill me. F***."Later in the interview, Cruz admitted to detective Curcio that he was depressed, going back to when his mother was still alive.Cruz described loneliness and solitude as reasons for his depression. 912

Paul Manafort and Rick Gates' case has added a new criminal charge or charges as of Wednesday, though whether the action is additional grand-jury approved indictments or indicates a coming a plea agreement remains a mystery.A record-keeping book in the federal courthouse in Washington included a new sealed filing in Manafort and Gates' case, which was opened in late October when the former Trump campaign advisers pleaded not guilty to money laundering and failure to properly disclose their foreign lobbying work. The filing contained no additional information.The filing could indicate additional indictments in the case, or it could be a type of charge called a criminal information, which would indicate an agreement between prosecutors and a defendant.Prosecutors on Manafort's case said on Friday they found evidence of bank fraud and related conspiracies, for which Manafort had not been charged.CNN has also reported that Gates has spoken to prosecutors about his case and has been negotiating a plea deal for more than a month. It's still unclear this week whether he is closer to finalizing an agreement. Parents of a Wisconsin teen demand change after their son took his own life. Quinten Espinoza and his family just moved to Glendale, Wisconsin from Ohio four months ago. He was an 8th grader at Glen Hills Middle School. The parents said they knew he was dealing with some bullying but never thought it would go as far as it did."He always said, I told the teachers, it's not a big deal. I'll go up. No, I'm okay, I got it taken care of,” said Espinoza’s mother Lara Furko. “Never showed any other signs of anything. So I never thought to pursue it any further. And now I'm at where I'm at today.”Furko saved some of the messages he received. About three weeks ago a female classmate wrote, “I hate you so much, I hope you die.” Espinoza responded, “I’m a human being just like you and if I do you will feel guilty. #StopBullying.”On Wednesday the principal of Glen Hills invited parents to a meeting to share concerns about Espinoza’s death. Espinoza’s family is questioning the school's response to his death. School leaders said it’s an ongoing investigation by police and the school district, and that there were no reports of bullying.  1183

PLACENTIA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say two sport utility vehicles have plowed into a Goodwill store in Southern California, injuring five people.Orange County fire Capt. Tony Bommarito says an 88-year-old woman rear-ended a parked car shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday in Placentia, pushing the SUV all the way into the store. The woman's SUV wound up partially inside.The woman was taken to the hospital with a trauma injury, but she's expected to survive.Bommarito says a 14-year-old boy in the SUV that was struck and three women inside the store — two shoppers and an employee — were treated for minor injuries. 620
