(KGTV) -- Christian Unified Schools of San Diego welcomed junior and high school students back to campus on Tuesday.The El Cajon-based school district brought elementary school students back to school last week, and district officials said now it's time for the other grades to join.The school's website lists many of the precautions they're taking, including multiple temperature checks. Students will get their temperature checked before they are dropped off at school, and then again before entering the building.Everyone on campus must wear a mask or face shield, and students must wash or sanitize their hands before they enter each classroom.The district says social distancing will be observed in all classrooms. Plexiglass barriers will be at each desk.All the classrooms are equipped with cleaning stations to be used between each class.Teachers will hold school religious services outside, and chapel will have limited seating.The district says each night staff will clean the entire facility. 1028
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KGTV) - Friday morning around 10:30 a.m. a 1999 Ford was traveling eastbound on Interstate 8 hauling a heavily loaded trailer, according to California Highway Patrol. Nine people from Lakeside, including two adults and seven children, were inside the vehicle.CHP reported that the Ford drifted off the roadway and onto the dirt shoulder west of Dunaway Rd. In efforts to get the Ford and the trailer back onto the roadway, the driver turned left and right, trying to regain control. Both the vehicle and the trailer overturned and rolled onto the roadway across the left lane of traffic. 636
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Erik Moses has been named president of Nashville Superspeedway. He's the first Black man to hold that title at any NASCAR track. Moses most recently served as president of the XFL's DC Defenders. Prior to working for the XFL, Moses served as CEO of the DC Sports & Entertainment Commission, Director of D.C. Department of Small & Local Business Development, and Senior Vice President at Events DC.He now leads the charge of the scheduled Nashville reboot in 2021. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- A woman was arrested Wednesday morning after police in El Cajon say she reportedly stabbed her grandmother. The department received a 911 call around 10:18 a.m. from a woman who said her grandmother was stabbed during a burglary on the 1200 block of North Mollison Avenue. After officers arrived, they found the woman who appeared to have been stabbed several times. The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. After investigating the stabbing, police determined that the woman’s adult granddaughter, Elektra Del Sol, 19, was responsible for the crime. She was arrested and booked into jail.
