A Wisconsin man is accused of trying to buy a lethal dose of a radioactive substance on the Internet to try and kill someone. Justin Tolomeo, Special Agent in Charge of the Milwaukee Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation said in a news release Jeremy Ryan, 30, of the Town of Madison has been charged with attempted possession of radioactive material with intent to cause death.Ryan allegedly attempted to buy the lethal dose in March and October of 2018. He was arrested on Tuesday. Ryan, who was dubbed “Segway Boy” faced multiple felony drug charges in 2016. He got the nickname after he was seen riding a Segway around the state capitol in 2011 taunting Republican lawmakers. He also attempted a congressional run against Paul Ryan in 2012. The attempted possession of radioactive material with intent to cause death charge carries a maximum term of life in prison. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Wisconsin’s Western District.  1010

(AP) — Activists in Pennsylvania are pressing their demand for police accountability after bystander video emerged over the weekend of an officer placing his knee on a man's head and neck area. The video was posted to Twitter by the group Black Lives Matter to Lehigh Valley.Activists say Allentown police appeared to violate their own use-of-force policy against neck restraints when an officer used his knee to bear down on the man's head. Ben Crump, the lawyer for George Floyd's family, also shared the video on Twitter.Police launched an internal probe and promised to release additional video of Saturday's incident, according to a statement. Airbnb announced new rules for New Year's Eve to prevent parties and large gatherings at its properties amid a surge in coronavirus cases.The vacation rental company released its plan on Thursday to limit rentals in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Australia, France, and Spain.The new measures state that Airbnb would require guests who don't have a positive review history to book a minimum of two nights for any stay, including Dec. 31. Any guests with reservations on Dec. 31 must swear that they will not throw a party under threat of legal charges.The company said that guests who have a history of positive reviews on Airbnb would not be subject to this restriction.The company said it would allow already-booked one-night reservations to continue as planned since their "data has historically shown that one-night New Year’s Eve bookings made prior to now very rarely lead to unauthorized parties." 936
