SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Rock ’n’ Roll marathon returns to San Diego in June, bringing hundreds of athletes and music to city streets. The 5K event is scheduled for Saturday June 1, while the half-marathon and marathon will be held Sunday, June 2. Entry fees are , 2, and 2 respectively. The marathon course starts on Sixth Avenue near Balboa Park. It extends as far east as Kensington, and north to Mission Bay Park, with a finish in Little Italy. Runners can enjoy the sounds of bands along the course, and support from San Diego cheerleading groups. For those who don’t want to run, the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon Health and Fitness Expo will take place Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1 at the San Diego Convention Center. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Secretary of the Interior stated in no uncertain terms in a letter sent to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors Thursday federal law supersedes state law. This was in reference to an ordinance the San Diego County Board of Supervisors passed in November banning recreational shooting, saying it was unconstitutional.Currently the law states you can shoot at targets on BLM land, "as long as it is done in a safe manner, without damaging natural resources or improvements on public lands." There is a section that states you may not fire any plastic pellets, exploding, tracer or steel core rounds. He also said the board never spoke to the federal government."When he [the Secretary of the Interior] found out the entire department said no this isn’t something we’re going to stand by at all," Schwartz said. The Secretary of the Interior sent a statement to the Board of Supervisors Thursday citing the Supremacy clause in the Constitution and, "law enforcement personnel have no authority to enforce unconstitutional pronouncements of law."RELATED: After Gate Fire, recreational shooting ban hits public landsJacob fired back with this statement: "The BLM decision is unfortunate and frustrating because this area is highly prone to wildfire, and we've already learned the hard way that shooting at this spot poses a significant risk to life and property. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Thursday, 19 new cases of E. Coli were reported among Marine recruits, according to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot.Although 19 new cases were reported, the number of recruits still recovering from the illness fell to 86 Thursday. Tuesday, 302 recruits were reportedly undergoing treatment for E. Coli. That number fell again Wednesday as 214 recruits were still undergoing treatment.RELATED: 26 more Marine recruits sickened by E. coli, according to MCRD"The command is continuing to take precautionary measures and care for those who are affected," said Brig. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego Police Department is investigating a stabbing in Encanto after a victim was found with stab wounds.Witnesses tell 10News a fight broke out between two males near the intersection of 65th Street and Wunderlin Avenue, across the street from Encanto Elementary School. Their ages are unknown. One male was stabbed at the scene, he was found near the park and recreation center where children were playing, according to witnesses. The second male fled before police arrived, police caught up to him and arrested him on Massachusetts Avenue. 615

The game is set to kick off Wednesday, December 19 at 7 p.m. central time at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The game marks the first ever meeting between the two schools.
