RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and First Lady Pamela Northam have tested positive for COVID-19.On Wednesday they were notified that a member of the Governor’s official residence staff, who works closely within the couple’s living quarters had developed symptoms and had tested positive for COVID-19.The Governor and First Lady received PCR nasal swab tests Thursday afternoon and both tested positive for COVID-19, the governor’s office said.They added that Governor Northam is experiencing no symptoms and First Lady Pamela Northam is experiencing mild symptoms.The release said the Governor and First Lady will isolate for the next 10 days and evaluate their symptoms.The Governor will fulfill his duties from the Executive Mansion.“As I’ve been reminding Virginians throughout this crisis, COVID-19 is very real and very contagious,” said Governor Northam. “The safety and health of our staff and close contacts is of utmost importance to Pam and me, and we are working closely with the Department of Health to ensure that everyone is well taken care of. RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A judge has ordered rapper Kanye West's name to be removed from presidential ballots in Virginia. Richmond Circuit Court Judge Joi Taylor issued an order Thursday saying West was disqualified because he had failed to meet the requirement that 13 people in the state pledge support for his campaign. SACO, Maine – A man in Maine has been arrested after authorities say he was caught putting razor blades into pizza dough that was then sold to customers.The Saco Police Department says it was notified of the tampered food by the city’s Hannaford Supermarket last Tuesday. Officers say a customer had purchased a Portland Pie pizza dough and later discovered razor blades inside.“The review of store security surveillance footage revealed a person tampered with the packaging of several Portland Pie pizza doughs,” wrote the department in a statement.Police have identified the suspect as 38-year-old Nicholas Mitchell and said he’s a former associate of It’ll Be Pizza company, which manufactures products for Portland Pie.A warrant was issued for Mitchell’s arrest and he was later taken into custody in Dover, New Hampshire, according to police.As a result of the incident, Hannaford Supermarkets has issued a recall for all Portland Pie branded products sold at its stores.The supermarket chain says customers who purchased Portland Pie pizza dough or cheese sold in its delis between Aug. 1 and Oct. 11 should not consume the products. They may return it to the store for a full refund.Additionally, the chain says it has removed all Portland Pie products from its shelves and paused replenishment of the products indefinitely, “after what is believed to be further malicious tampering incidents involving metal objects inserted into Portland Pie products.”Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the tampering.
