He hopes to take headshots of 50 different people in one day and he’s doing it all for free.Walker and a photographer in Olathe, Kansas, are part of the 10,000 Headshots Project. Hundreds of photographers across the United States are donating their time Wednesday in order to take headshots of 10,000 people who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 and are looking for a new one.“It’s good to know that I’m doing something that made a real difference in a person’s life,” Walker said.The work-based social media site LinkedIn said profiles with professional headshots get 14 times the number of views compared to profiles without a picture.Walker said a good headshot is helpful in any job application.As a people person, he knows people are struggling because of the coronavirus. Two people have been killed in an explosion at a Veteran's Affair hospital in Connecticut, according to WTNH-TV and The New Haven Register.A VA spokesperson told WTNH that the explosion at the West Haven hospital was caused by a steam valve. The explosion occurred in a building that was not housing patients. Those who were killed were not patients at the hospital.According to The Associated Press, state and federal investigators are responding to the incident. UPDATE 10:40 P.M.(KGTV) -- At least four people are dead and 15 people were injured after a shooting at the Garlic Festival Sunday evening in Gilroy, police said Sunday night during a press conference. Officials said the suspect entered the event through a neighboring creek and used a tool to cut into the fencing surrounding the festival. At about 5:41 p.m., there were reports of gunfire at the north side of the festival area.Gilroy Police officers staged in the north side were able to engage the suspect in less than a minute, said Gilroy Chief Police Scot Smithee.
