Southwest Airlines said Thursday that a fatal accident on one of its planes has scared some people away from booking flights on the airline.It reported seeing a "recent softness in bookings following the Flight 1380 accident." And it said that that weakness in bookings will result in slightly lower fare revenue in the second quarter as it tries to keep its planes full.A passenger died last week when a fan blade broke off the engine of a Boeing 737 and shrapnel shattered a window next to her. SPRING VALLEY (KGTV): People who live in the East County say they're fed up with the growing homeless problem around Spring Valley County Park.They say it's gotten worse over the last few months, and many parents are now afraid to bring their children there."They yell and scream, and they’re fighting each other," says Gustavo Galvez. His son, Gustavo, Jr. goes to the preschool at the park. "It’s concerning to have your kids listen to that kind of stuff."The county admits the problem has gotten worse. In a statement to 10News, they outlined steps the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Health and Human Services is taking to solve it.Those include:- Coordinating outreach events to give the homeless assistance and resources.- Increasing lighting around the park, especially near the restrooms.- Increased cleaning of common areas around the parkThe county also says that the Sheriff's Department has stepped up their patrols in the area. There is a Sheriff's Substation across the street, which helps keep and eye on the park.Some parents, though, say it's not enough."I feel bad. I know they need to be somewhere. But I don't think they should be where children are," says Lisa Brown, who brings a group of kids from her daycare to the park. "It's a playground. PETERSBURG, Fla. – An NFL wide receiver has been charged in connection with an alleged scheme to file “fraudulent loan applications” to get COVID-19 relief money from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).Joshua Bellamy, 31, is facing federal charges for wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud. According to the U.S. Justice Department, the former Bears receiver conspired with others to get millions of dollars in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, which he then spent on luxury items.The DOJ said in a press release that Bellamy applied for an received a PPP loan of more than .24 million for his company, Drip Entertainment LLC. Bellamy then allegedly spent more than 4,000 in luxury goods from Dior, Gucci and retail jewelers “using proceeds of his PPP loan,” DOJ said in a press release.Bellamy is also accused of spending more than ,000 in PPP loan proceeds at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and withdrew more than 2,000, the DOJ alleges.Bellamy is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and played collegiately at Louisville. Though he went undrafted, he eventually caught on with the Chicago Bears and started 57 games for the team between 2014 and 2018. He spent last season with the New York Jets, and his season ended early after he injured his shoulder.
