ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York is urging travelers from eight additional states to self-quarantine for 14 days as it awaits a decision on the reopening of indoor dining in New York City. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a television interview that he plans to send state police and health and liquor officials to New York City on Tuesday night ahead of his decision expected Wednesday. Last week, Cuomo and counterparts in New Jersey and Connecticut announced a travel advisory requiring people from states with "increased prevalence of COVID-19" to quarantine for two weeks. That advisory applies to states with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents, or a test positivity rate higher than 10%.Tuesday, California, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, and Tennessee were added to New York’s travel advisory. Those states join Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah.The Democratic governor said he’s worried by reports that dining in closed, indoor areas with air-conditioned systems could lead to spikes in COVID-19. Albertsons wants to scoop up Rite Aid.The deal announced Tuesday will create a new company with about billion in annual sales and 4,900 stores across the country.Albertsons pharmacies will be rebranded as Rite Aid and some Rite Aids will continue to operate as stand-alone stores. Rite Aid CEO John Standley will become CEO of the new combined company.Walgreens wanted to buy up all of Rite Aid in 2015, but federal regulators nixed that agreement on antitrust grounds. In September, the two companies announced a scaled back version for nearly 2,000 of Rite Aid's stores. That left Rite Aid with around 2,600 stores.The move will allow Albertsons to become "a fully integrated one-stop-shop," Miller said in a statement.Rite Aid jumped 24% in pre-market trading.Albertsons is a privately held company and Rite Aid is public. ALPINE, Calif. (KGTV) -- The woman authorities say was shot and killed in an Alpine neighborhood Saturday has been identified. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Melanie Benitez, 27, was shot on the 2800 block of North Victoria Drive around 2 p.m. The department also identified the suspect in the case as Paul Paraschak, 42. Deputies say Benitez and Paraschak were dating and lived together in Alpine. An area resident heard a scream and called 911 around 2 p.m. Saturday. Deputies detained Paraschak on foot about a half mile away with two hand guns, said Lt. After days of digging through 950 tons of steel and concrete, authorities say the remains of all six victims of the pedestrian bridge collapse in Florida have been recovered.Rescuers have worked day and night to extract the victims and mangled cars after the pedestrian bridge crumbled Thursday west of downtown Miami."I believe that is the final count," Miami-Dade County Police Director Juan Perez said. "This ends with a tragedy of six. ...
