If you’ve been thinking about buying a car, experts say now is the time to shop. Dealers are offering more incentives than ever before to get drivers back on the road, and because of the coronavirus, you can stay home and find a good deal.“It’s the way the world is going now,” said recent car buyer, Stephanie Given. “Everything’s online.”Given is an ICU nurse working on the frontline of the pandemic, and in the midst of the health crisis, badly needed a new car.“We needed that second vehicle, the more reliable vehicle that we knew would be reliable in this time,” said Given. Her nearly 15-year-old ride was giving out, but, walking in to a dealership made Given anxious. “I have been under a little stress in my work life and personal life, and I was kind of dreading the stress of buying a car,” she said. So, she started her search online. “I found the car online through the Carmax app, and I was kind of let down when I saw the car was in Las Vegas, and it was just a couple seconds and they said, ‘We can ship it to you,’ and I said, ‘What? That’s amazing!’” said Given. Not only did she find the car she was looking for online, she did all the paperwork at home. “I kind of had a hybrid experience. I did my part online and then came to the dealership to pick up and take possession of the car,” she said.Given’s experience is now becoming the norm. Dealers are making it possible to do everything, from shopping to financing, from your couch. Some dealers, like Carmax, will even drop off the car at your door.“We want to take the scary four-hour dealership visit that you’d expect, and allow you to do as many things as you want at home,” said Corey Haire, the Vice President of sales at Carmax.“You can do everything from a virtual walk around where they’ll walk around the vehicle with a facetime phone call and take direction from the consumer as to what they want to look closer at,” said Karl Brauer, an Executive Publisher at Kelley Blue Book and Autotrader.Brauer believes this new way of doing business is here to stay. “I think it’s proving more efficient on both sides,” he said.Brauer said the car industry is expecting to see a big bounce back through the summer and fall. “People are moving into more confident, purchasing mindsets,” he said.According to Brauer, new car sales are down by about 31% compared to spring 2019, but used car sales haven’t taken such a hit—down only about 6%.“I think there are a lot of people are thinking maybe they want their own personal vehicle in lieu of public transportation, but these people aren’t buying a car because they’ve dreamed of one or have wanted one, this is purely for functional purposes,” said Brauer. So if you’re looking for a deal, Brauer said the first step is research, and then, look for combined offers.“We’ve seen deals for 0% financing, which were getting pretty rare recently. We’ve seen deals like deferred payments for three to four months, but we’ve hardly ever seen both of those at the same time,” said Brauer. Some dealers are offering longer term loans too. “If you’re looking at a new vehicle, and one of these 0% 72 or 84-month loans are available to you, that’s real money you’re saving over that kind of time,” he said.If you want the new car smell without the new car price, check out a 2019 model. “They were going to be hard to sell anyways with the 2020 cars coming out, but now they’re even harder to sell with all the incentives going on for the new cars,” he said.Brauer reminds buyers that, with any purchase, make sure you’re financially ready. For Given, she said the car and the price were just right, and the online process sweetened the deal.“I do think it was a little bit of retail therapy. I did something for me during this time, and I needed to do that, but it also filled a need, so it was a win-win,” she said.Need help researching the best car for you? Visit resources HERE. Hundreds of flights were canceled and 14 million people were under a blizzard warning Sunday as a storm brought snow, wind and rain to large stretches of the Midwest.Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer issued a state of emergency declaration for the state.Kansas City International Airport was closed to flights arriving on the airfield due to low visibility caused by weather conditions and limited visibility under a quarter-mile, according to an airport tweet. The Kansas Division of Emergency Management's Twitter page said the declaration "authorizes the use of state resources and personnel to assist with response and recovery operations in affected counties.""We strongly recommend that you postpone travel plans, if possible; however, if you must be on the road, make sure your vehicle's emergency kit is stocked, your gas tank is full and your cell phone and charger are with you and someone knows your travel plans," the declaration reads.Multiple roads are closed across the state due to whiteout conditions, according to the KanDrive website. The weather system was forecast to move into the Great Lakes region before hitting the Northeast on Monday, according to CNN meteorologist Haley Brink.Due to the addition of Cook County, Illinois, the number of people under blizzard warnings jumped from 8 million to 14 million. The National Weather Service office in Chicago said the worst will come late Sunday.Nearly 20 million people were under a high-wind advisory. This includes residents of Kansas and some in parts of Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa.Fort Hays State University student Brooks Barber captured the blizzard conditions in Hays, Kansas, on Sunday morning. If you're trying to avoid political ads in the closing days of the campaign, you might want to avoid morning shows and daytime TV. Using data provided by the data firm Kantar Media / CMAG, Cover/Line looked at the TV shows that have aired the most political ads in 2018 as of October 30, about how much was spent to air them, and who aired the most. The top buyers for these shows were all either the Republican PAC Congressional Leadership Fund, the Democratic group Senate Majority PAC, or Sen. Jon Tester, a Montana Democrat whom President Trump has campaigned to replace with Republican Matt Rosendale and who was able to air more ads on top shows for a much lower rate in Montana. Here's the top ten: 711

If you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, contact your health care provider immediately. If you have health-related questions or concerns, contact your healthcare provider. For general questions about COVID-19 or information about community resources, call 2-1-1.SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A lot of fear stemming from the Coronavirus comes from the fact that it is so new and that it is unraveling in real-time. Many people remain confused about the exact symptoms, as many healthcare professionals tell them to look for cold or flu-like symptoms. But what exactly does that mean? PODCAST: Supervisor Nathan Fletcher talks about coronavirus and how newly approved stimulus bill will impact San Diego County10News sat down with Dr. Abisola Olulade from Sharp Rees Stealy Downtown, who broke it down. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], these are the common symptoms for the cold, flu, and Coronavirus. The Cold:SneezingCoughStuffy NoseSore ThroatThe Flu:FeverAchesChillsFatigueSneezingCoughHeadacheThe Coronavirus:FeverCoughShortness of BreathThere are many overlaps. But Dr. Olulade said the most significant difference is the respiratory aspect of shortness of breath. When a patient experiences that, that is a cause for serious Coronavirus concern. "I would say that the main thing that is different about the Coronavirus is that, more so than the others, it causes shortness of breath. It’s rare for the others to cause shortness of breath," Dr. Olulade said. When should you go to the doctor? Dr. Olulade said, do not panic and run out the door immediately. First, make sure you have a fever, cough, and especially shortness of breath. Then, call your doctor to let them know of your specific symptoms so that the hospital or doctor's office can prepare for your potential arrival. For example, you may need a special type of room to be set up. You may not.Dr. Olulade said if you are in general good health, with no pre-existing conditions, and have no recent travel history, you may be asked to stay home and self-quarantine for the time being. Testing for you may not be prioritized. However, if you are presenting Coronavirus symptoms, have pre-existing conditions that make your immune system compromised, or have recent travel history, you may be asked to come in immediately to get tested. It all depends on that phonecall. Listen to their advice and proceed. 2413
