SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego Gulls will conduct Military Weekend at their games Friday and Saturday at Valley View Casino Center, including providing free tickets to more than 4,000 military members and their families.Military families will unfurl an American flag on the ice before the playing of the national anthem preceding Friday's American Hockey League game against the Stockton Heat.Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer Colin M. Cooper and Marine Corps Master Sgt. Eric W. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The name of the 46-year-old Ramona resident killed in a predawn shooting in his hometown was released by authorities today.A resident of the 600 block of Pine Street in the rural community southeast of Escondido heard a gunshot and found Mario Velazquez Cardoso mortally wounded in front of a neighboring home about 5:45 a.m. Thursday, according to sheriff's officials.Paramedics took Cardoso to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.An arrest has not been made in the killing, sheriff's Lt.
