SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — It’s decision time for the San Diego Padres, who are trying to choose the right candidate to replace fired manager Andy Green.Widespread reports, confirmed by 10News, indicate the Padres have narrowed their search to two very different candidates.The first is 38-year-old Jayce Tingler, who has worked in a variety of coaching and front office roles with the Texas Rangers, but has no Major League managerial experience.RELATED: Padres' Yates wins Baseball Digest's top reliever awardThe second is 67-year-old Ron Washington, who managed the Texas Rangers to back-to-back World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011, before stepping down in 2014. But the decision largely rests on the shoulders of general manager A.J. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- In anticipation of its members returning, 24 Hour Fitness locations around San Diego County have made several changes that will allow them to follow county health guidelines and keep their doors open.Under the state’s tiered system for businesses, 24 Hour Fitness is among those able to resume indoor operations, but with specific modifications in place.The fitness centers are now requiring reservations for 90-minute workout sessions, and each location can only operate at 10 percent capacity, so they have to keep a close eye on how many people are inside of the building.While reservations will not be required for clubs in San Diego County, each club in the county will be capped at a 10 percent capacity.Jeremy Franke, Regional Vice President of 24 Hour Fitness, said, “We have a check-in system where we can check at any time and know how many people are in the club. And when we reach capacity, our system flags and says we’re at capacity. And we’ll have the next person wait. Like retail stores, we let one in and one out if we get full.”Once inside the gym, social distancing is a must. There are signs and markers that remind members about staying six feet apart.24 Hour Fitness has also stepped up with cleaning and disinfecting, shutting everything down for 30-minute periods throughout the day to do so.Some things will remain closed, such as spas, saunas, pools, and basketball courts. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - It was more than a decade after two-year-old Jahi Turner disappeared.His mother, Tameka, had been posted on deployment with the U.S. Navy in 2002. Step-dad Tieray Jones claimed the boy vanished while playing with other kids at a park in Golden Hill, while Jones was buying a drink at a vending machine.Police thought otherwise, suspicious that Jones had severely punished the boy for bed-wetting and he died.
