NEW CASTLE, Del. – Joe Biden laid out the third tier of his “Build Back Better” economic policy plan during a speech on Tuesday.The speech in New Castle, Delaware, focused on the presumptive Democratic nominee’s plan to support working families, childcare and educators.Watch Biden's speech below:The plan will create around 3 million new jobs in the caregiving and education industries, and will cost about 5 billion over 10 years, according to the campaign. NEW YORK CITY — New York City Deputy Sheriffs shut down an event with more than 200 people at a Queens banquet hall early Saturday.Authorities were called to an event at the Queens Luxe Banquet Hall at Rockaway Boulevard in Ozone Park around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.There were about 215 people inside the venue in violation of the state's and city's COVID-19 emergency orders.The hall was also operating without a liquor license, according to authorities.The owner and an employee of the venue were issued summonses for violation of emergency orders, unlicensed sale of alcohol and unlicensed warehousing of alcohol. Two other staffers were issued summonses for violation of emergency orders.New York City currently allows indoor entertainment locations to operate at a 25% capacity if they do not fall under one of the city's restriction zones. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans police say 11 people were shot in an early morning shooting on the edge of the city’s famed French Quarter.A police release says two people are in critical condition and no arrests have been made. Police Supt. Shaun Ferguson tells The New Orleans Advocate/The Times-Picayune that a person of interest has been detained.Police say 10 people were taken to two hospitals and another walked in.
