INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — This year has been especially hard on local musicians, who typically rely on gigs in restaurants and clubs to make ends meet. But for the past nine months the pandemic has kept that from happening.Everybody is taking a financial hit this year whether it's a music venue, music artist, even people on the audio/video side of things," said Jake Huber.Before the pandemic, local film maker Jake Huber and live venue owner Mike Angel launched the web TV series called 'Music in Transit' a way to highlight the Circle City's musicians as they perform live shows on IndyGo buses and bus stops."It's really that simple. We put bands on a bus and when it allows for it an audience too," said Angel.Season one was all about surprising new audiences. "You stop in your own tracks and you're like oh, what is this I'm experiencing right now? After a while every single act we had formed a crowd, and through that many acts have reached out to us saying thank you because I've gained a new audience. I've had people buy our record, just from these videos," Huber said.Season Two of Music in Transit will look a bit different. The mobile shows are socially distanced this time around, with a limited crowd. Huber and Angel are hoping season two will allow the world to still see Indianapolis musicians of multiple genre's, who, thanks to pandemic restrictions, could use all the exposure they can get."Hip hop, old country, indie rock, funk. Everything really. INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — After 15 suspicious packages containing pipe bombs were mailed to prominent Democrats, a former president and media across the country by a serial bomb maker, now there are new questions being raised about why the packages made it through the post office system without being caught. The mail bombs never detonated, but how did the packages get dropped off, sorted and sent to places across the country without ever getting stopped for being suspicious? WRTV television station in Indiana dug into what happens to your mail after it goes into the system and found that most mail never goes through any type of security screening during its travel to you. In fact, the post office says many items never get screened at all.The United States Post Office handles more than 500 million pieces of mail every single day. They say they simply deal with too much mail to screen every package individually. So, how does the post office keep us safe with so much stuff traveling through the system? The USPS Postal Inspectors say it has a specific program called the Dangerous Mail Investigations Program, which takes over when suspicious packages come through a facility.Recognizing suspicious mail starts with post office employees, according to USPS’ Domestic Mail Manual. Each post office employee is specifically trained to notice packages that are out of place or look odd. They also have specialized technology in some facilities that sniffs out explosives or chemicals that are inside mail. The employees and technology don't catch everything, but the post office says they do catch suspicious items. Now, Shake Shack has entered the roost.The restaurant known for its burgers announced Tuesday that its Hot Chick’n will be back for a limited time starting Tuesday. The item has been on the menu twice before. Auto insurance customers policy should check their policies and reach out to their agents. Companies are sending refunds or rebates to customers due to changing driving habits.“We call it good neighbor relief program,” Cook said. “Payment flexibility, options relative to providing relief, we announced a dividend, a return of value to customers to the tune of billion recognizing they are doing less driving and there are fewer accidents.”Some are beefing up homeowner and renter policies, again, thinking about things as they're home and reviewing their properties.“If there’s a water leak, they’ll detect it quickly and get it fixed and they’re not having as much theft because they’re around the house and so you don’t have the thieves coming in while you’re at work,” Ruiz said.She also said most agencies are allowing you to put off payments for a month or two if you need a financial break.
