Normally, they would be thrown out after one use, but a shortage in Personal Protective Equipment prevents that."You can’t just throw them in the washer machine -- that would destroy their fibers," Reynolds said. "For those (N95 and surgical), the best recommendation is to let the natural course of the virus dying off to run its course, so the recommendation is to take those masks and put them in a paper bag and wait seven days before you use them again."More commonly though, she said people in the community are wearing homemade, cloth masks, which can hold the virus for two days.She said one advantage in Arizona to clean those is the summer heat, which means leaving it in a car for at least 20 minutes."When it is 110 outside, in no time our cars will get really hot, so the coronavirus can survive in our cars for 20 minutes in up to 130 degrees and five minutes at 150 degrees, so that can be a very effective tool for decontaminating our masks," Reynolds said.She recommends removing the masks from the elastic around the ears using your pinkies. She said this is because those are the fingers you're least likely to use touching your face.After that, make sure to put it in a central location and sanitize or wash your hands."If you think about why we are wearing the mask in the first place, it is to prevent our exposure," Reynolds said. No Crime Stoppers reward will be given to the woman who alerted police of the Waffle House shooter's whereabouts after he killed multiple people in Antioch. That's because the woman did not submit a tip through Crime Stoppers, instead, calling 911 with the suspect's location. "I get goosebumps talking about it," Lydia French said as she recalled the day that the suspect was caught. French spotted the man coming out of the woods near her worksite, next to where the suspect lived, when she called police. She then spotted the suspect a second time and called 911 again. "When he came out of the woods the second time and I got a good look at him, oh, I knew. I knew for sure. I called 911 back the second time and said, 'Your guy is right here. It's him,'" French said.She said police responded immediately."It was crazy. I've never seen so many vehicles just storm an area like they did," she said. While French called in the tip to 911, she was surprised that she wasn't given a reward from Crime Stoppers, and many others were confused about the situation as well."Unfortunately, we cannot pay the reward on this as Crime Stoppers was contacted after they advised the police department," an email from Crime Stoppers read.Crime Stoppers is a separate entity from the police department. "I actually thought they were hand-in-hand," French said. According to Liz Parrott, the chair of Nashville Crime Stoppers, to get a reward from Crime Stoppers, tipsters have to call the tip line, (615) 74-CRIME, or submit the tip through their mobile app. In the case of the Waffle House manhunt, French called 911. She never called Crime Stoppers, not until a month later to inquire about the reward. Crime Stoppers is designed to get tips in cold cases or in cases where someone with information wants to remain anonymous, and it generally isn't used in active crimes like the Waffle House manhunt."Anytime there's an active crime in progress, 911 is always best," Parrot said. While French said it isn't about the money, she wanted to get her story out so the public would know in the future: If you want the Crime Stoppers reward, you need to reach out to Crime Stoppers before the police. "I'm glad I could do what I could do to make the community and everybody feel safer, I just hope the families get justice," French said.French was given a ,000 reward from the TBI for her assistance in the case.  2478

NEW YORK (AP) — Justin Bieber is hoping the coronavirus pandemic is over by next summer.New dates have been announced for his previously scheduled 2020 tour, which will now take place in 2021. Tickets for his original 2020 tour will be honored on the new dates.The Justin Bieber World Tour was originally planned to begin in May but was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. AEG Presents says the 45-date tour will kick off on June 2, 2021, in San Diego. Nineteen new dates have been added to the tour, and the original stops have been rerouted, according to AEG. Kehlani and Jaden Smith were originally also participating in the 2020 tour. It becomes the third museum to add emoji to their digital collections. The New York museum acquired the “person with headscarf” and “inter-skintone couple” emoji for its burgeoning collection of digital assets. The museum plans an exhibition explaining the significance of the two through interviews and images, but the pandemic has put an opening date in limbo, said Andrea Lipps, Cooper Hewitt’s associate curator of contemporary design.“The desire to acquire these particular emoji arose from what we were seeing as the desire for inclusion and representation of various groups and communities and couples on the emoji keyboard,” Lipps told The Associated Press in an interview ahead of the announcement.The emoji are commonly known as “woman in hijab” and “interracial couple.”The hijab emoji, as it’s informally known, was submitted in 2016 to the Unicode Consortium, a nonprofit that oversees emoji standards with voting members from the world’s top digital companies. NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A Pasco County, Florida family is suing the Pasco County School Board alleging their son was shown pornographic videos on a school-issued iPad."It wasn't a personal cell phone. It wasn't a personal iPad. It was school equipment and the school internet," said the boy's mother, Jennifer Haag.The lawsuit claims two older male students showed Haag's son inappropriate videos during a free class period at River Ridge Middle School in New Port Richey. She said this continued for three months."It was considered a recess for the special needs children, all different ages for middle schoolers and they were just allowed to have free time," Haag said.The lawsuit states the incident happened in 2015 when the student was 11-years old. The lawsuit claims the student has suffered mental and emotional harm. The lawsuit also claims the iPads had "inadequate security features allowing students to access obscene and pornographic materials."Haag said her son told a teacher that students were viewing these videos."He finally got the courage to go to the adult that was supervising and try to tell him bad things were going on and he was told to 'stop being a tattle tale' and to go play," said Haag.Haag said she hopes school leaders pay better attention."I was absolutely devastated and heartbroken.
