A Racine man was arrested Wednesday while expecting a pizza delivery. Mount Pleasant Police Officers were called to Toppers Pizza regarding fraudulent money they had repeatedly received from a house.Officers confirmed that the money was fake and were notified that the same address had called again with a food order.Officers went with the delivery driver to the address and knocked on the door. When the suspect answered and asked if it was Toppers they officers responded "Yeah" and the door opened.Before officers could introduce themselves to explain why they were there, the suspect tried to slam the door and the officers pushed back.The suspect, identified as Raymond Prideaux, did not comply with orders to stop resisting so officers tased him. He has been charged with obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct.Prideaux has a lengthy criminal history including possession of THC, retail theft and OWI. 926

A newborn baby with COVID-19 has died in Connecticut, officials said Wednesday. The 6-week-old child was from the Hartford area, Gov. Ned Lamont said. A New York man is in custody after having been arrested and charged with threatening to assault and murder Rep. Ilhan Omar, according to the US Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York.Patrick W. Carlineo, Jr., 55, of Addison, New York, threatened to kill Omar because of her Muslim faith, according to a criminal complaint and accompanying affidavit.Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, is one of the first two Muslim women serving in Congress after being elected in the 2018 midterms.A call was placed to Omar's Washington, DC, office on March 21, an FBI agent stated in the affidavit.During the call, an individual, who identified himself as Pat Carlineo, said to a staff member: "Do you work for the Muslim Brotherhood? Why are you working for her, she's a (expletive) terrorist. I'll put a bullet in her (expletive) skull."Omar's office referred the threat to the US Capitol Police, which began an investigation with the FBI.Carlineo sounded angry during the call but provided the spelling of his name and contact information, the affidavit said.He was later interviewed by authorities where he stated that he was a patriot, that he loves President Donald Trump, and "that he hates radical Muslims in our government," the affidavit stated.He had initially claimed he had told Omar's office, "If our forefathers were still alive, they'd put a bullet in her head."When shown an email with the quote from the call regarding calling Omar a "terrorist" and threatening to kill her, Carlineo first replied that is not what he had said, according to the affidavit.He later admitted to authorities he may have said something like that but was unsure. An 8-year-old boy in Kentucky donated 165 toys to the Ludlow Police Department’s annual holiday toy drive, making sure local children in need wake up Christmas morning to presents under their trees.“I’m happy,” third-grader Braxton Gillespie, who solicited donations by posting copies of a hand-drawn flyer across town, said Friday night. “I just get to help people that don’t have stuff.”The department’s toy drive tends to run down to the wire, Chief Scott Smith said Friday night. Officers spend the early winter reaching out to local schools and identifying around 30 families that need extra help to fill out their Christmas lists, but there are always late entries. “Every year, a couple days before (Christmas), we always get some surprise families added to the list, and we always scramble,” Smith said. “Generally, the officers pay for gifts out of their pockets, so you get one guy going to buy three or four basketballs.
