(CNS) - A chase suspect who allegedly stole drills led authorities on an over two-hour pursuit Tuesday afternoon from Glendora to downtown Los Angeles, at one point stopping at a gas station to fill up his tank.The chase started about 4:10 p.m. after the suspect allegedly stole drills from The Home Depot store located at 1305 S. Lone Hill Ave., according to Lt. James De Mond of the Glendale Police Department.By 5:10 p.m., the suspect was in the unincorporated Avocado Heights area near Industry, where he pulled into a gas station near Valley Boulevard and Santa Mariana Avenue.It appeared that one person ran from the vehicle, and the driver stood outside the vehicle for a couple of minutes before getting back inside and driving westbound on Valley Boulevard.Shortly after, the suspect pulled into another gas station near Valley Boulevard and Peck Road, and ran inside the store to apparently pay for gasoline. He pumped gas briefly then got back onto Valley Boulevard.He drove on multiple freeways throughout the pursuit, including the Long Beach (710), San Bernardino (10), Pomona (60) and Santa Ana (101) freeways, where he exited at Fourth Street and drove into downtown Los Angeles.It was not immediately clear what happened to the suspect after he entered downtown Los Angeles about 6:20 p.m. 1331

GOP Sen. Rand Paul was assaulted in his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on Friday, according to Kentucky State Police.State troopers responded to a call to the senator's residence at 3:21 p.m. Friday. Police arrested a man named Rene Albert Boucher, who they allege "intentionally assaulted" Paul, causing him "minor injury."Boucher, 59, of Bowling Green was charged with one count of fourth-degree assault. As of Saturday afternoon, he was being held in the Warren County Regional Jail on a ,000 bond.Police were not immediately clear on why Boucher allegedly assaulted Paul. GOLDEN, Colo. — A man who escaped from a Colorado Department of Corrections prison in Golden Tuesday morning has been captured. According to police, Sean Garcia, 27, was located and arrested in Denver. The escapee was taken into custody after authorities set a perimeter in the area. Garcia had escaped from the state prison facility by climbing a perimeter fence.Garcia is serving time for weapons and theft charges out of Rio Blanco County. His Parole eligibility date was in January, and his mandatory release date was Sep. 2 of this year, according to the DOC. Details as to how Garcia managed to escape the secure facility by climbing a fence have not been released. The 82-year-old Cosby has been imprisoned in suburban Philadelphia for nearly two years after a jury convicted him of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in 2004. He's serving a three- to 10-year sentence.The Supreme Court has agreed to review two aspects of the case that Cosby's lawyers challenge.
