Mario Batali is being sued by a woman who claims the celebrity chef kissed and groped her at a Boston restaurant and bar last year, according to court documents obtained by CNN.The suit comes several months after Batali first?faced allegations of sexual misconduct.Natali Tene states in a suit filed this week that Batali rubbed her breasts, kissed her repeatedly and groped her buttocks and groin area during an encounter at a Boston-area restaurant in April 2017.Tene did not know Batali personally but was familiar with his career, according to the suit.She says when Batali offered to take a selfie with her, she accepted. The alleged assault happened when Tene was in his proximity under the belief they would be taking a photograph together, the suit says.Representatives for Batali have not returned CNN's request for comment regarding the suit."What Mario Batali did to Natali was disgusting and vile," Tene's lawyers, Eric Baum and Matthew Fogelman, said in a joint statement to CNN. "Batali sexually assaulted our client in open view and without hesitation. He has shown no remorse. His actions cannot go unanswered."In December, restaurant news website Eater published a report in which four unnamed women, some of whom worked for Batali, claimed the chef touched them inappropriately "in a pattern of behavior that appears to span at least two decades."Batali later said in a statement to CNN that he was "deeply sorry" and apologizing "to the people I have mistreated and hurt.""That behavior was wrong and there are no excuses," he said.Batali left his ABC daytime series "The Chew" in light of the allegations. The Food Network also halted its plans to bring Batali back to its programming lineup.In May, Batali's restaurant group ended its partnership with him after allegations of sexual misconduct against him prompted a police investigation.Anderson Cooper, reporting for a segment of CBS's "60 Minutes" in May, sat down with several of women who say that sexual harassment and assault were common in restaurants owned by Batali.Shortly after it aired, the NYPD confirmed to CNN that it was investigating "allegations raised in the '60 Minutes' report" and had spoken to half a dozen women.One accuser told CNN that authorities questioned her in February, indicating that an investigation has been going on for months.At the time, Batali released a follow-up statement to CNN "vehemently" denying any allegations of sexual assault. 2478

Marriott International says a guest reservation database has been breached and may have exposed information of approximately 500 million guests.The company says it is investigating and addressing the incident that involves the Starwood guest reservation database. They received an alert on Sept. 8 from an internal security tool regarding an attempt to access the Starwood guest reservation database. Marriott quickly called on security experts to help figure out what happened.Security experts learned there had been unauthorized access to the Starwood network since 2014. On Nov. 19, Marriott was able to decrypt the information and determined that the contents were from the Starwood guest reservation database.For approximately 327 million guests affected by the breach, the information accessed includes some combination of name, mailing address, phone number, email address, passport number, Starwood Preferred Guest account information, date of birth, gender, arrival and departure information, reservation date, and communication preferences.Marriott says they have established a dedicated call center (USA: 877-273-9481) to answer questions guests may have about the breach. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A divided Wisconsin Supreme Court has refused to hear President Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn his election loss to Democrat Joe Biden in the battleground state. The court on Thursday said the case must first wind its way through lower courts. Trump had argued that there would not be enough time to wage the legal battle that way before presidential electors cast their ballots on Dec. 14. An attorney for Trump says he'll file the lawsuit in circuit court. Biden defeated Trump by nearly 20,700 votes in Wisconsin. Mental health has become a priority for many people across the country during the pandemic. For college students, it's no different, and many are hoping employers put mental health as a priority when they graduate."As they stress about whether or not they’re going to find internships, whether or not they're going to find employment after they graduate, as they think about their own families, as they think about their health or the health of their loved ones. Everything is just compounding and we wanted to get a better sense of whether students were actively thinking about mental health," said Christine Cruzvergara, the VP of Higher Education and Student Success at Handshake, which connects college students with employers.Cruzvergara says realizing these struggles, Handshake surveyed more than 1,000 college students about their mental health."Over 62% of our students want employers to think about mental health benefits as actually part of the compensation plan and I think that’s a huge shift. We didn’t see students talking about mental health as a benefit previous to COVID," said Cruzvergara.Roughly half of students surveyed said they were concerned about their own mental health with so many people working remotely, adding they were concerned about feeling isolated and about their work-life balance."We've shared this with our employers as we continue conversations with them about how they're going to adapt their training, their onboarding, their compensation," said Cruzvergara.More businesses are also thinking about mental health services for their employees, according to Gympass, a service used by employers to offer benefits like fitness and nutrition programs. Gympass surveyed its own members and found 69% have experienced burnout during the pandemic."We know 95% of people are just aware that wellness in general is more important to their productivity and as employers have become more aware of that we’re seeing the shift to mental wellness awareness, in particular, and we’ve been able to embrace this from a live classes perspective moving into digitals where yoga, people can take their meditation classes online," said Gympass CEO Marshall Porter. Porter says while most employees and employers realize mental wellness is important when it comes to productivity at work, just 34% of employers are actually offering those types of benefits."And so how do we think about and talk about meeting the customer, the employee, where they are. Everybody’s aware, everybody wants that benefit. Too few employers are still thinking about that and so opening that conversation of how are you really doing, what can we do to provide that. Maybe it isn’t that traditional 401k or new stipend to work from home and make your home office more comfortable," said Porter.Realizing the major impact companies can have on their own employees' mental health. 2884
