The reason being the residence "intends to hold large gatherings on Oct. 30, 2020, - Nov. 1, 2020, in blatant violation of the Order of the State Health Officer, the County Order of the Health Officer and Emergency Regulations, and CDPH's October 9, 2020 gathering guidance."Saturday on Dorothy Drive near Dorothy Way it was easy to hear music, excited yelling, and chatter from multiple homes. She said she was proud the students seem to be abiding by the rules, saying, "If they're partying inside their houses with their little group of friends that's fabulous!"Hoeger said huge parties are the most "disconcerting to us any time of the year because it's just disruptive to the whole neighborhood, when they leave most of them are drunk and unfortunately a lot of sexual assaults happen."Any San Diego State students found violating the university's Stay Home order, which lasts through Monday, Nov. 2 at 6 a.m., could face disciplinary action, up to expulsion.Since Aug. 24, SDSU has issued nearly 970 violations, according to a statement from the university."They should be afraid of the consequences of their actions, whether related to COVID or in regards to the San Diego Municipal Code with regard to noise," Hoeger said.Violating the cease and desist orders could result in a misdemeanor offense and a ,000 fine. 2135

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diegans on the hunt for a job can now get some help from the Central Library in downtown.They're launching a "tie-brary" where people can borrow work necessities just like checking out a book. “It can be extremely costly, and you want to look professional and at your best when you go into these interviews, and that’s a burden that could set you back," said District 6 Councilman Chris Cate.Cate's office donated ,000 to help launch the tie-brary. “So if you want to check out a tie for a job interview that you're going to be having you can come down to the library and check out a tie, or check out a portfolio, or whatever you need for that job interview. And then you return it just like you're returning a book," said Cate. Cate's office will be collecting ties during April to continue helping with the effort. 851

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are looking for a man described as mentally ill or under the influence of drugs.Sunday night at 8:58 p.m. someone called 9-1-1 describing a man acting irrationally. Police responded and found the Honda Accord matching the description of the call and tried to pull the car over.The driver flipped a u-turn and sped up to about 80 miles per hour, running three red lights down Governor Drive.Police slowed down to a safer speed and as they caught up to the driver they found the car crashed into the dead end fence.They say the man, described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, 5' 8" tall, wit ha shaved head, wearing a short sleeved shirt, a hoodie, and gray shorts took off. They believe he ran from the car.They searched the area, known as Rose Canyon Natural Park, and could not find the man.If you see him, police ask that you please not approach him and call 9-1-1. 918

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego area firefighters are being thanked for their hard work with free admission to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.Firefighters and up to three guests will receive free one-day admission to the Escondido park in September.The deal is being offered by California Coast Credit Union and San Diego Zoo Global.“Firefighters are true heroes and we are proud to join San Diego Zoo Global in recognizing them for their tremendous efforts to keep us all safe from fires,” said Cal Coast President & CEO Todd Lane. “As part of our partnership with the City of San Diego, we will continue to look for ways to serve and support San Diego Fire Department personnel.”The fast response of San Diego County firefighters was critical in putting out the Pasqual, Rangeland and Cloverdale Fires near the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
