Whether you hate tootsie rolls or licorice, the truth is we've all received Halloween candy we don't like. But this year, Reese's is coming to the rescue with their very own candy exchange machine."Reese's Halloween Candy Converter Machine" was first released to the public on Sunday, October 28, during a Halloween parade in Tarrytown, New York. The machine allows people to trade in the candy they don't want for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. But why is Reese's helping us with our candy struggles this year?Well, according to a recent survey commissioned by Reese's, 90% of Americans say that they have traded, or wish they could have traded, their unwanted candy on Halloween, Anna Lingeris, a spokeswoman for Reese's distributor Hershey, told CNN. 756

When you enter the sunset years of life, often there is reflection.Terry Criger likes to think of her former career as a school lunch lady in Arizona.“Oh, I loved it,” said Criger. “If I could go back, I would.”However, the passing of time eventually catches up to all of us.Criger’s been in an assisted care facility in Midvale, Utah for about a year and half now.“I had very high concerns that I would be put here and left, and fortunately I haven’t been,” Criger said through tears. She says if it wasn’t for her daughter, she’d be lost.“People here will ask what insurance you have and I’ll tell them that I don’t know and they need to ask my daughter,” Criger said.Criger is not alone.“It’s crazy. People just don’t know enough,” said Michelle Malais, a certified senior advisor.Navigating the world of health insurance and available services for our aging population can be overwhelming for families.“When it comes down to it, there is always a way; you just have to explore the different options and that’s where I come in,” Malais said.Malias is part of a national organization called Assisted Living Locaters, which helps families find the best options and how to pay for it.“I’m an advocate really for them,” Malais said. “It’s really important for our seniors to age with dignity.”Her introduction to the world of senior care was personal. Her mother suffered from dementia and her father struggled to offer care for her.“I’ll never forget that conversation because that was devastating to him,” Malais said. “He thought he had planned and, unfortunately, didn’t.”Now, she has made it a mission of sorts to make sure no one else is put in that position.“It’s very important to get ahead of the game,” Malais said.In most cases, that means having tough conversations with aging loved ones as soon as possible.Criger is adjusting well to her new life, and she has some advice for those willing to just roll the dice down the road.“You need to make a plan,” Criger said. “You need to plan for retirement because you never think you’re going to be, where you’re at in 20 years.” 2092

WHY DID HE REFUSE TO ENDORSE SLOW JOE UNTIL IT WAS ALL OVER, AND EVEN THEN WAS VERY LATE? WHY DID HE TRY TO GET HIM NOT TO RUN?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 20, 2020 187

William Daniels, the actor who played Mr. Feeny on the 90s sitcom "Boy Meets World," scared off a would-be burglar at his home in Southern California on Saturday evening, ABC News confirmed. The 91-year-old reported to police that he scared off the burglar by turning on lights around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police believe he was not specifically targeted. "Luckily, Mr. Daniels was able to frighten away the person and the Los Angeles Police Department quickly responded," Daniels' representative said in a statement to ABC. "[He and his wife] are both well. Mr. Daniels thanks all his fans for their concern."According to TMZ, an employee of home security company ADT was seen at Daniel's home. Daniels' acting career began in 1952 at the age of 25 after graduating from Northwestern University. Daniels reprised his character of George Feeny for several episodes of the "Boy Meets World" spinoff "Girl Meets World." 946

White House counsel Don McGahn's 30 hours of conversations with special counsel Robert Mueller's team has unnerved President Donald Trump, who didn't know the full extent of McGahn's discussions, two people familiar with his thinking said. The meetings only add complications to the already-fraught relationship between the President and the White House's top lawyer. And as nervous aides await a verdict in former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's trial and watch with trepidation the inauspicious public relations blitz carried by lead attorney Rudy Giuliani, uncertainty surrounding the President's handling of the Russia investigation abounds.Trump was spending another weekend at his New Jersey golf club when The New York Times first reported McGahn's cooperation with Mueller's office, which is investigating Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 election. 880
