Lisa Palmer, a former student at Hunter College in New York, hasn't taken classes or paid tuition since 2016, but she's still living the college lifestyle.According to the New York Post, Palmer has continued to live in her dorm room, despite repeated demands that she vacate. Palmer originally enrolled at Hunter College in 2010, after briefly attending St. John's University in New York. In 2016, Hunter College claims that Palmer dropped out of school — but Palmer maintains that the school wouldn't allow her to register for classes after she disputed her tuition bill.But even after Palmer stopped taking classes, she remained in her 100-square-foot dorm room. She continued to live in the room despite receiving an eviction notice in June 2016. Hunter College stepped up the fight in fall 2017, when an attorney sent a letter to Palmer requiring her to vacate the premises by Oct. 31.Palmer told the Post she will continue to fight the eviction — despite saying that she feels dorm life is "really lonely" for someone in her 30s. The case is currently being weighed by the Manhattan Supreme Court.Alex Hider is a writer for the E.W. LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Rutherford and Wilson County deputies are investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle on Sunday afternoon.Deputies received a call about a white box truck parked at Crossroads Market around 10:30 a.m. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said the box truck played audio similar to what was heard before an RV exploded in downtown Nashville on Christmas morning.WATCH LIVE:Officials said due to the investigation, Highway 231 from the Cedars of Lebanon State Park to Richmond Shop Road is shut down.As a precaution, nearby residents are being evacuated during the investigation into the truck.Officials said the driver of the truck traveled from Rutherford County into Wilson County, where he was stopped on Highway 231 by deputies and detained. 781

(KGTV) -- A student shown in a video being thrown to the ground by a school resource officer at Helix High School during a disciplinary matter spoke out for the first time Tuesday.A video recorded by students show 17-year-old Brianna Bell being thrown to the ground while in handcuffs at the school.The incident was sparked after the officer was called to assist with the suspended student reportedly refusing to leave campus.VIDEO: Officer tackles handcuffed 17-year-old student to ground at Helix HS"The student became non-compliant on two separate occasions and made an attempt to free herself by pulling away from the officer," La Mesa Police Department officials wrote in a statement. LAKE HODGES (KGTV) - A San Diego woman tells 10News she was bit by a tick at Lake Hodges and diagnosed with Lyme disease a month later. Sheila Greer has hiked Lake Hodges for 33 years she tells 10News, "I've never had an issue." Greer hiked the same trails at the end of June. She says that's when she believes she got bit by a tick, "The trail had bushes coming up that I would have to brush through and something in the back of my mind said, that's a prime area for ticks. But, I discounted it because I've hiked there for 33 years." Greer got diagnosed with Lyme disease a month after the tick bite. Usually, tick bites have a ring around the bite but her's did not. For that reason, she thought it was a spider bite and waited to see a doctor. She tells 10News she struggled with neck pains and unbearable headaches. Greer finally got a Western Blot test which confirmed her diagnosis. The County of San Diego tells 10News, "Lyme disease is rare San Diego County and we have not had a positive tick found in many years." Because Greer thought she had a spider bite, she didn't know to look for a tick to bring to the county for testing. Greer has been seeing a doctor regularly and is now on antibiotics, "I'm taking antibiotics and I'll be taking antibiotics for a minimum of three months, maybe much longer." 1322
