A 4-year-old girl was left alone inside a minivan overnight in a Milwaukee tow lot, Public Works Commissioner nominee Jeff Polenske said Tuesday at a news conference. Late Monday night, an impaired female driver was pulled over and arrested for an OWI when the vehicle was towed. Officers removed a 10-month-old child from the vehicle, but neglected to remove a 4-year-old girl from the backseat.Polenske said it wasn't until a tow lot employee heard the young girl crying that the girl was removed. (KGTV) - The city of Oceanside is moving forward with new medical marijuana regulations.Oceanside City Council approved regulating the manufacturing of medical marijuana and cultivation, but continued barring new dispensaries.The proposal allows the testing, cultivation and sale of medical marijuana within city limits.Oceanside currently allows the delivery and consumption of medical marijuana in private residences.City leaders had been eying the measure since the end of last year when they formed an ad-hoc committee for the cannabis regulations.The proposal will go back for a second reading, and would go into effect after 30 days from then.   669

(KGTV) — The 18-year-old girl who pushed her friend off a 60-foot bridge into a Washington state river has been charged with one count of reckless endangerment.Prosecutors filed the charge against Taylor Smith, saying the teen engaged in conduct which created a substantial risk of death and resulted in serious physical injury to Jordan Holgerson," according to ABC News.Reckless endangerment is a gross misdemeanor in Washington state and punishable by up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of ,000.Smith pushed Holgerson off the bridge over the Lewis River at Moulton Falls Regional Park near Vancouver, Wash., on Aug. 7.The fall left Holgerson, 16, with six broken ribs, a punctured lung, and air bubbles in her chest, officials said.Footage showing the fall was captured on cell phone video and soon went viral.
