SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after they say a man was stabbed while sitting on a bench at Balboa Park early Sunday morning.The stabbing happened on the 2000 block of Park Boulevard at 12:26 a.m. Police reported that the suspect walked up to the 29-year-old victim and asked him for a cigarette.After telling the suspect he didn’t have one, the victim was stabbed in the neck, according to police.The wound was non-life threatening and the victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police say.Police are still looking for the suspect.   The assailant is described as a tanned Asian male wearing a blue jacket and about 5'5" tall. 684

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating the death of a man who was found with stab wounds in a gas station parking lot in Webster.San Diego police said they received a 911 call just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday regarding a possible stabbing victim in the 4300 block of Home Avenue.Officers arrived to find a 31-year-old Black man with “apparent trauma to his upper torso,” according to SDPD officials.The victim was eventually taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, but he later died from his injuries. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One of the FBI’s 'Ten Most Wanted Fugitives' from Las Vegas may be hiding in the San Diego area, the FBI said Tuesday.Jesus Robert Munguia is accused of bludgeoning his wife to death in 2008 in Nevada.The FBI said Sherryl Sacueza left Munguia and took the couple’s four young children with her. Munguia learned his wife was romantically involved with another man and persuaded her to return home with the children, said agents.Investigators said Sacueza returned and Managua locked the children in a bedroom before driving Sacueza to a remote area, attempting to strangle her, and beating her with what may have been a tire iron.FBI public affairs agent Mollie Halpern said Munguia uses aliases including Mono, Chuy, and Miguel. Munguia has a tattoo on his chest that reads “My Baby Jessica” and a tattoo of a teardrop near his left eye. He is also missing his right index finger.The FBI also believes Munguia may be hiding in Tijuana, Mexico.Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. A suspect wearing dark clothing reportedly shot at a group of transients, according to San Diego Police.One person was hit by debris from the gunshot and taken to the hospital as a precaution.MAP: Track crime happening in your neighborhoodA second shooting occurred about two miles away, an officer patrolling Mountain View heard gunshots around the same time. His identity has not been released.Police are searching for a white Volkswagon seen in the area by witnesses following the shooting. San Diego (KGTV) -- North County parents and students are voicing safety concerns after the Vista school board voted 3-2 not to restore law enforcement at school sites next year. The Vista Unified School District made its decision early Friday morning despite backlash from some parents."We seem to need constant reminders so we've had Columbine, Parkland, Sandy Hook, and on a day we're pleading for safety another tragedy hits," one parent told 10News.The parent was referring to Thursday's shooting at Saugus High School just north of Los Angeles. A student gunned down a group of teens on campus killing a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.
