Revenge is sweet. But Mark Rober's glitter bomb trap for package thieves proves it can be a bit messy, too.Rober is clearly a smart guy; a former NASA engineer, he worked on the Mars Curiosity rover. But for anyone who's gotten a package stolen off a doorstep, he's now a hero."Something needs to be done to take a stance against dishonest punks like this," Rober said in a now-viral YouTube video. After having a package stolen from his doorstep, Rober decided to use his engineering background to serve up some retribution on would-be thieves."If anyone was going to make a revenge bait package and over-engineer the crap out of it, it was going to be me," he said. The package would contain a pound of fine glitter plus some potent fart spray. The glitter would burst out when opened; the latter would spray five times, every 30 seconds. But Robert went one step further -- including four phones recording the thieves' reactions. A GPS tracker in the phones would let him know where a package ultimately ended up.If he couldn't recover the package, the video would at least automatically upload to the cloud.Once completed, he slapped a packing label addressed from the "Home Alone" character Kevin McCallister to movie villains Harry and Marv -- a nice, figurative bow on the present. Then Rober just needed to wait and let the package rain pain.In the YouTube video, some "victims" opened packages in their cars, with glitter being tossed into every nook and cranny. Others opened packages in their houses; one even was even filmed trying to vacuum the mess up.Still, package thieves remain a problem; click 1620

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A St. Louis Man made a gruesome discovery while cleaning out his mother's apartment after she died. Adam Smith says he found a dead baby in her freezer, and it's apparently been there for several years. Smith said he has been living in the apartment and taking care of his mother, who passed away from cancer just a few days ago. He said his mother had kept the box, wrapped up tight, in their freezer for decades and always told him to stay away from it. After she passed away, he decided to open it. "There was a pink blanket, baby blanket, and when I reached down and touched it I could feel a foot," Smith told CNN. I could see the baby's head with hair, hair that was still attached to it, smooth."Police were called to the building early Sunday morning. They call the infant's death "suspicious."Smith told police that he never looked inside the box his mother kept wrapped in the freezer. He always thought it was a frozen wedding cake. Smith says his mother once told him that she lost a child at birth and that family members have told him that his mother had twins at one point, but lost one of the babies at birth. The second twin was allegedly given up for adoption. "Who absolutely keeps their own child in a box for this long and never talks about it and never, I just have so many thoughts and it's just insane," Smith said. Smith said he's distraught thinking about the possibility that the child may have been his sister and what his mother may have done to her. "I have to wait for the autopsy to see if that baby ever took a breath and I cannot help it, to think she might have done something to it. I just can't help it," Smith said. And now that his mother is gone, Smith said he wonders if he'll ever know the truth. "I wanted some kind of closure and I feel like I may never get any closure because my mom's gone," Smith said. The child's death remains under investigation. 1927

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) wore a gas mask on the House floor Wednesday while voting on a bill that would appropriate funds to fight COVID-19, better known as the coronavirus.Gaetz tweeted a photo of himself wearing the mask Wednesday afternoon prior to a vote on a bill that would appropriate a total of .3 billion in federal funds to fight the virus and expand access to health services for seniors.Gaetz wore the mask the same day that an 11th person died of COVID-19 in California — the first death related to the disease outside of the state of Washington.Fellow lawmakers ribbed Gaetz in a series of tweets."You won't believe the shoes Matt Gaetz is wearing today. #FloridaMan," Rep. SAVANNAH, Ga. – A Georgia reporter was groped on live television while reporting on a running event on Saturday. At the time of the incident, Alexandrea Bozarjian was covering the annual Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run, during which runners make their way across the Talmadge Bridge. In a video posted to social media, several runners are seen posturing for the camera, some getting so close that Bozarjian looked visually uncomfortable. One man ended up taking things too far, smacking the reporter’s backside while jogging past her. Immediately afterwards, Bozarjian appears to take a minute to collect herself and then continues her report. Later on Twitter, Bozarjian called out the groper, saying “To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me. No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere!! Do better.”To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me.
