BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- China is developing its own new type of helicopter, a Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman confirmed here on Thursday.

"The message sent by the Chinese leadership, including the president, the premier and the foreign minister, is clear: China, as a major power, is committed to pursuing win-win cooperation with its neighbors," said Huang Jing, director of the Center on Asia and Globalization at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

He also urged local Chinese to help promote bilateral friendly cooperation between the two countries, which has broad prospects.

Since the inception of the forum, bilateral investments between China and Portuguese-speaking countries have surged rapidly. At present, over 800 enterprises have been set up in China by investors from Portuguese-speaking countries. The rise in bilateral investments has greatly boosted economic growth on both sides.

During the talks, Xi also said that China attaches great importance to the status of the central and eastern European countries in European development, expressing his hope to lift cooperation with central and eastern European countries so as the push forward the all-round and balanced cooperation between China and Europe.
