JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping announced Saturday that leaders attending a major summit here have reached consensus on lifting China-Africa relations to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
They urged enhanced international financial supervision and accelerated reform of international financial institutions.
The two countries should maintain close high-level contact and promote friendly exchanges, the Chinese president suggested.
Xi said the central leadership would seriously consider their suggestions.
