An explosion rocked a chemical plant early Wednesday in Texas, causing extensive damage across the small city of Port Neches and leaving at least three employees injured.A chemical fire continues to burn at the site, and a mandatory evacuation order has been issued within a half mile of the TPC Group plant, about 90 miles east of Houston, the Nederland Volunteer Fire Department said."There's extensive damage throughout the City," Port Neches Police Department said in a statement. A colorless gas, butadiene is considered a health hazard, according to the US National Library of Medicine. The clerk's office for Glynn County Magistrate Court confirmed Wednesday that Judge Wallace E. Harrell has set a preliminary hearing for June 4. Arbery was fatally shot Feb. 23 when a white father and son armed themselves and pursued the 25-year-old black man after they spotted him running in their neighborhood. More than two months passed before Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael, were charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. BERLIN, Germany – The U.S. Air Force is investigating the death of two servicemen who died at a base in Germany last week.Airman 1st Class Xavier Leaphart and Airman 1st Class Aziess Whitehurst were found unresponsive in a dormitory room at Spangdahlem Air Base in western Germany at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The men, both aged 20, were pronounced dead shortly afterward. Both deceased Airmen were assigned to the 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, under the 52nd Fighter Wing.Leaphart is survived by his father, Malik Muhammad, and mother, Pamela Leaphart. Whitehurst is survived by his father and mother, Davin and Maria Whitehurst. The Associated Press reports that Leaphart was from Georgia and Whitehurst was from Arizona.In a statement Sunday, base commander Col. David Epperson expressed his condolences to the men’s loved ones.“It is always very difficult to lose valued members of our team,” said Col.
