SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities reached out to the public Wednesday for help in tracking down a motorist involved in a fatal hit-and-run on a Clairemont- area street last month.The unidentified driver's black four-door sedan struck and killed 44- year-old Shane Moore as he was crossing the street in the 5500 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard shortly before 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22, according to San Diego police and the county Medical Examiner's Office.The motorist continued driving and fled the area to the east. It will also have a replica of Jerusalem's Wailing Wall and a domed theater featuring biblical films.At a hearing two weeks ago, opponents expressed concerns over the potential for increased traffic in an already congested area.Cerullo's organization plans to add one lane in each direction on Hotel Circle South. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - As San Diego County heads into a "Halloweekend," public health officials are urging members of the public to practice COVID-19 protocols -- including avoiding large gatherings such as Halloween parties and door-to-door trick-or-treating."These activities involve face-to-face interactions with people from different households," said Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county's public health officer. "If a COVID-19 infection is detected among a participant, it will be very difficult to find and notify those who may have been exposed."These traditional Halloween celebrations are not advised, and large gatherings are not allowed, under state or local health guidance.
