MEXICO CITY, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- China's pledge of billions of U.S. dollars in aid and investment to less developed countries, as part of South-South cooperation, will help meet key poverty reduction targets, a Mexican academic has said.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Air China's general manager in Islamabad, Hu Haitao, said the Chinese national flag carrier would be starting the new service on Oct. 26.
"China's sovereignty over the Nansha Islands and their adjacent waters is irrefutable," he said. "The Chinese navy will resolutely perform duties and missions to unswervingly safeguard national sovereignty, maritime rights and interests, and peace and stability in the South China Sea."
"We will stay committed to the basic policy of peaceful reunification as the basis of "one country, two systems," and join our Taiwan compatriots in defending the overall national interests, sharing opportunities of development, carrying forward the common cultural heritage and building a community of shared future across the Straits," Li went on.
