SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Eight new cases of hepatitis A were reported throughout the county over the last week, according to the San Diego County Health Department. In total, 544 cases of hepatitis A have been reported throughout San Diego County. The new numbers come after the Board of Supervisors Monday extended the state of emergency amid the hep A outbreak.  RELATED: Board of Supervisors extends state of emergency for hepatitis A outbreakSince the outbreak began, 20 people have died from the infection. She has advanced causes of equality, justice, and empowerment on both sides of the border, serving on boards and committees in the U.S. aimed at advancing equlity and helping Mexico's legal system transition to oral advocacy.Ruth Goldschmiedova Sax: Sax is a survivor of three Nazi concentration camps and dedicated her life to speaking about her experiences and reminding everyone that hate is never the answer. Her life was chronicled in a biography by her daughter, Sandra Scheller, and won the Multicultural Motion Pictures Award for best documentary. Scheller will accept the award posthumously for her mother.Colleen O'Harra: O'Harra is the founding Executive Director of the Oceanside Women's Resource Center and has served the city for eight years as an Oceanside City Council members and two years as Deputy Mayor.Bridgit Wilson: Wilson is a veteran who has advocated for LGBT active duty and military veterans, working to repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and helping craft the Obama Administration's policy allowing transgender individuals to serve openly.Dorothy Smith: Smith served on the San Diego Unified School District Board of Education and was the first African American woman elected to public office in the county. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Humpback whales aren't the only aquatic life giving locals a show off the coast of San Diego.Dolphins can be seen fairly regularly, but it's not everyday you see a pod tallying in the thousands. The term "mega" gets thrown around quite a bit to describe scale, but in this case, it truly fits.Video captured Sunday shows a "megapod" of thousands of "common dolphins" off San Diego's coast, estimated to be of about 2,500 dolphins.RELATED: Humpback whale feeding frenzy off San Diego's coastDomenic Biagini, a photographer for San Diego Whale Watch, said pods of 25 to 200 dolphins are common. But a megapod, or "superpod," refers to pods eclipsing 1,000 dolphins and may be seen once every other month."Every now and then, we'll see multiple pods come together," Biagini said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Employees at a Little Caesars franchise location in Logan Heights say their paychecks are bouncing and management is not responding to their concerns. The workers say the problems started in March, and they told 10News they've received paychecks, only to have them bounce a few days later and racking up banking fees every time. The employees 10News spoke to, from the National Avenue location, did not want to be identified. When they spoke out to supervisors, the employees claimed they were told to not to bother upper management. Other times, they said, they were left in the dark with no response. Employees identified the owner as Tony Bith, saying he owns at least a dozen Little Caesars locations throughout San Diego County. The one in Barrio Logan on Main Street is also closed; the National City Location on Plaza Boulevard is still open. 10News tried to reach Bith by phone but did not hear back as of the publication of this story. 10News also attempted to make contact with him at his home address, but could not access him because he lives in a gated community. 10News reached out to Little Caesars corporate to find out if they were aware of what was going on and they sent the following statement: 1243

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — For the first time, the hunting license suspected Poway Synagogue shooter John Earnest presented to buy the rifle used in the alleged attack has been made public.The dates on the license show it was invalid at the time Earnest purchased the gun from a dealer in San Diego.Earnest, 19 years old at the time of purchase, needed a valid state-issued hunting license to get around a new California law that raised the age limit to buy a firearm to 21. RELATED: Poway synagogue shooting suspect returns to court for hearingAt a preliminary hearing Thursday, prosecutors shared an image of the hunting license, showing it was valid from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. The attack took place April 27, 2019. Earnest used the hunting license to buy the semi-automatic rifle from San Diego Guns on April 13. He picked it up the day before the attack, which killed Congregant Lori Kaye and injured three others.
